Traditionally, spring is a time to deep clean your home. For Memphis River Parks Partnership, we clean the riverfront everyday. Spring is a time of renewal and growth, it’s prime planting and growing season and a vital time to prepare for the long, hot summer months.

From pollinator garden plantings to food and beverage pop-ups, many places on the riverfront have been updated and beautified this spring to create new enjoyable experiences for all riverfront visitors.

Riverside Taps. The new pop-up beer garden at Beale Street Landing is operated by Grind City Brewing Company, this summer through Halloween. Riverside Taps is open Thursday-Sunday through 8PM (opening at noon on weekends and 3PM on weekdays). A rotating cast of some of your favorite food trucks bring varied food options to pair with your drinks.

Pollinator Pod on Beale. The pollinator garden — planted entirely by volunteers on Arbor Day weekend — plays an important role in habitat creation and restoration on the riverfront. Check out the garden and pollinating creatures on your own or during a Ranger led nature walk.

Mud Island Park. Alongside a new north gate entrance, work is also underway within the park to improve connections and circulation patterns. New walking and biking trails are being installed — and existing paths renovated. While work continues the park is still open to the public on regular hours. You may see some construction but plan your visit to the Memphis sign or join us on the island for a free monthly Sunset Kayak event.
