Basketball fans everywhere are excited that the NBA is returning later this month, so what better way to show support for our Grizzlies than to “join” them in Orlando?

Metaphorically speaking.

The Grizzlies tip off against the Portland Trail Blazers at 3:00pm on July 31st. Let’s all come together to cover the 831.4 miles it takes to get to Orlando before the game starts.

Since the Grizzlies are in their Orlando bubble and most of us are in our Memphis bubble, we thought we could take your mind off the heat of working out in July by marking our progress together and thinking about the return of basketball. Visit downtown and the riverfront to get those miles in!

Wear your Grizzlies gear as you walk, run or bike the riverfront.

Feel the energy of the Grindhouse as we collectively come together to be there for our team! Take in the beautiful scenery of the Mississippi River as you burn some calories and spend some time outdoors. Enjoy a nice bike ride down Riverside Drive with no traffic. Take a run along the River Line or Big River Crossing and feel the breeze or even use the Bluff Walk to take in a lovely sunset.

Tag others on social media. Help us log those miles to Orlando. Let’s stay fit together, while physically apart.

Mile Milestones:
When we reach 250 miles, we’re in Birmingham, Alabama.
When we reach 350 miles, we’re in Montgomery, Alabama.
At 550 miles, we’re in Tallahassee, Florida.
When we get to 832 miles, we’re at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex ready to cheer on the Grizz!

Report your activity here and we’ll be keeping you up to date on Facebook and Instagram. Every time you submit, you’ll gain another entry into a slew of prizes, including some Grizzlies swag items and a gift card to the Downtown Memphis restaurant of your choosing but we’ll only hold the drawing after reaching our goal!

So, let’s get moving Memphis and Go Grizzlies!
