A Mendix developer’s brain is tuned to see all major components of their application in terms of objects/entities, but is that always right? At times, are we not complicating our application’s features by seeing them only as attributes, associations, or entities? — One might argue that by not seeing the visual components as also objects, are we not diverting from the fundamentals of Mendix? I recently had a problem statement that, if it had been solved solely using our fundamentals, would not have been as efficient as it is now. Our solution was sluggish and overcomplicated…until we looked at things a little bit differently.
