Boilerplate software known as Low-Code will allow non-technical users to create a digitally enhanced future

The world has fully embraced persistent internet access via the smartphone. With it, a new level of comfort in adopting software to fulfill everyday societal needs. The smartphone delivers massive computing power to users and has changed our perception of what is possible.

As a result of the smartphone boom, we have seen a rise in software as a service. But the demand for SaaS products is now larger than the supply of skilled programmers to design and build new software. With this fact, a realization formed that not all software needs to be built from scratch. There is now a desire for boilerplate software that is highly customizable known as No-code & Low-code.

This article focuses on what No-Code and Low-Code are, why they are important, and why the future may depend on them.
