The Love of Women.

I love women.

But this isn’t about the romantic × sexual love. I’m not here to talk about how soft they are, how much I like booty, their voices, etc.

I’m talking about a less dramatic kind of love, one that shouldn’t even be lauded or acknowledged for more than a few moments because it should be a forgone conclusion, a normal logical thing, something that’s as uneventful as a leaf falling from a tree.

I speak of the love of another human being.

Clearly, this “forgone conclusion” I speak of is, in the current Nigeria, is an unfathomable ideal, one that cannot and should not exist due to a host of undeniable reasons and it saddens me.

I have become very sure that a lot of people hate women, think of them as sub-human and as a result feel no real love or care for them as they would another human being.

If you take a look around, you’d see that there are different “thought rules” applied to women that are definitely indisputably not being imposed on men and it’s very fucking absurd. Because all a man needs to do is see a woman as another human being, equivalent to himself and treating her equally would be a forgone conclusion.

One cannot look at another human being that he feels is as valid as he is and say that they deserve to be raped because of how they’re dressed. Because it would cross one’s mind, that maybe, just maybe, this human being wants to be half naked for her own reasons and doesn’t want my penis inside her.

You can’t truly claim to value a woman as another human being if you honestly think that she has to quit her job and be poorer than you so that you can retain control of her.

Why do you want to control another human being? Like yourself? Well it’s simple. You don’t think of women as human beings. You think you’re better and of more value. And that’s why you believe that they’re object-like, to be used for your viewing and sexual pleasures. To be subject to how you think they should live their lives, who you think they should fuck and how much money they should make.

It’s really funny in a not so funny but actually heart-wrenchingly sad way that you wouldn’t even treat your dog this way. Your dog is your pal, you give an actual shit about your dog.

But.

You hate women. You hate human beings generally and you use things like religion and tradition that you don’t even really fucking believe in to cover up your disgusting hatred.

And it’s because of that hatred that something like a “Gender Equality Bill” can be turned down. I don’t even know why we need a fucking Gender Equality Bill in the first place.

LOOK AT A WOMAN. LIKE ANOTHER FUCKING HUMAN BEING. WITH THE SAME REVERENCE OR WHATEVER THE FUCK IT IS YOU TREAT OTHER MEN WITH.

And then, only then, will you love women like I do.

Like another human being.
