Our mission

Sanctus is on a mission to change the perception of mental health.

We all have mental health and should look after our mental health in the same way we do our physical health.

What we do

Like personal trainers working in a gym, we provide Sanctus coaches to businesses. Our coaching provides a confidential and safe space for people to talk about their mental health in the workplace.

This video explains everything about Sanctus — watch it’ here | What is Sanctus?

The Role
In this role, you’ll be the first point of call and relationship manager for our ‘mid-market’ partners. Typically fast-growing businesses with 150–600 employees.

You may have noticed, but we don’t use the term ‘client’, ‘customer’ or ‘account’. In this role, we’re looking for someone to create long-term, trusting relationships with our partners and to be the link between their business needs and our Sanctus goals.

The right person

You’ve been an account manager or relationship manager elsewhere and you’re looking to use your professional skills to forge genuine relationships. You’ll use all you’ve learned in previous roles to handle tricky situations, build human relationships and deliver incredible service to the partners you look after. You’ll naturally have a passion for mental health and our mission, but we’re looking for someone who will wake up in the morning thinking…

‘How can we do more for our partners?’
‘How are things going over at La Fosse?’
‘‘I need to check-in at Carwow and see how things are going with the new office move and the new Sanctus room!”

As a fast-growing startup, we are looking for someone who gets their energy from working with people, has experience juggling multiple stakeholder needs and would be excited by a role and a company that is constantly evolving and gives them autonomy and a voice to shape how we grow.

You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable both speaking publicly about Sanctus and handling challenging situations in our partners. You’ll be approachable and ‘human’ in the way you interact with partners (we are not a computer says no kinda organization). You’ll have empathy for their challenges whilst holding the boundaries of what Sanctus can and can’t do.

On top of that, your previous experience will make you an A+ multi tasker. You’ll be used to serving multiple partners, prioritising your own workload and meeting deadlines. You won’t get frazzled being faced with a last minute ‘fire’. You’ll be proactive and solution driven to give our partners the best experience possible. You’ll know how you support yourself to stay centered and calm in every partner interaction — because that’s what makes Sanctus run smoothly.

Lastly, we need someone who is a bit of a data nerd. You’ll turn both the quantitative and qualitative data into insights and stories about our partners and generate actions from them that makes Sanctus a breeze to run in their organization.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new partners with 150–600 employees
  • Running Sanctus launch events with our partners and presenting Sanctus to 150+ employees (after a bit of training obvs, we don’t expect this from day 1)
  • Being the main point of contact for our mid-market partners, promptly responding to their queries and requests in line with our values
  • Delivering reports to our partners with analysis and actions. Leading the development of these reports in response to the needs of this territory
  • Noticing themes and trends within the mid-market segment of Sanctus partners and working with the CCO and partner team to problem solve creative solutions to make Sanctus work in a business of any size
  • Ensuring each partner is at their optimum level of coaching days. Confidence in communicating the need for an increase in day, using data and working to ‘fill the gaps’ of our data blind spots where appropriate
  • Proactively creating a support and communication plan for partners to make Sanctus a success in the workplace
  • Proactively creating plans to increase attendance, awareness and accessibility within our partners.
  • Having difficult conversations with partners and communicating Sanctus boundaries both in terms of the coaching space and what we are able to do as an organization to support their culture of mental health
  • Communicating partner data trends and forecasts internally to the CCO
  • Identifying opportunities for new product development with our partners and collaborating with the CCO to create and deliver new products, processes or best practice
  • Having a strong working relationship with the CCO and Partner Team feeding back every nugget of info regarding larger businesses and collaborating to get sales and partner care right for 150–600 person organizations

Life at Sanctus

  • Currently, we’re a full-time team of 16 and you’ll be 17.
  • We have 35 coaches who are self-employed but feel very much a part of our team, so in total we’re 50+ strong.
  • Our home is in the Tea Building, Shoreditch.
  • We have a very open and receptive culture towards mental health and you might find us talking about the meaning of life or the use of psychedelics in therapy over lunch.
  • We have our own Sanctus Coach that provides 1:1 coaching for our team, this is a space to talk about absolutely anything you want and it can be personal or professional. Nothing is ever fed back to Sanctus.
  • We run monthly Sanctus Groups where we reflect on our own mental health as a team — this is for our coaches and our HQ team.
  • We have a space to work on our dynamics as a team — which means a workplace that doesn’t come with office politics. We work out our issues in a safe space
  • We have regular socials that don’t just mean drinking, but we do like to go to the pub too. We have 2 annual all company get togethers and they’re pretty great.
  • Employees have 25 days holiday (not including the Christmas week) which they are encouraged to take.
  • We have a flexible approach to set working hours and appointments in the day etc. You can work from home on a Tuesday or Wednesday
  • As a business we are growing sustainably with no investor pressures, we’ve raised no institutional money and are very much in control of our own destiny.
