Changing The Way Mental Health Is Viewed By Society & Inspiring Others 2 Share Their Story

“Don’t be ashamed of your story, it will inspire others”

So many people live their lives like normal without realizing how many lives are being put at risk who are suffering from mental illness overall the impacts it can truly have on one life itself. So Rachel Griffin is the one who came up with the #imnotashamed tag on Twitter which started a trend for all those suffering from a mental illnesses that share why they’re not ashamed of it. There is another thing that has been trending about “mental health superhero” on social media communities.

Everyone who has ever suffered from a mental illness are currently and still working on their own projects to help contribute and help remove, end this stigma around mental health. Not only that idea alone, but help solve the “family affair” problem where families aren’t comfortable talking about mental health and their own mental health. And many others too, for mental health needs the spotlight and attention that it truly deserves and to not see mental health as a bad thing for someone to suffer. We are not our illness. We are not defined by it. We define ourselves for all that we want to be defined and known as, not mainly our illness.

Above is the link to many stories of those who have token the courage to share their story not only for themselves but to help inspire others to do the same and to reach out.
