I’m Not Ashamed
Team Not Ashamed, Mental illness
When it comes to the shame around mental illness and the mental health community, it’s not at all fair nor right at all to treat anyone with that kind to treatment. We all need to think about how we want to be treated as well as putting our own selves (not literally) in someone else’s shoes to see what it’s like for them.
So that we can be more understanding and compassionate with others rather than shaming them for their mental illness and everything else around the mental health subject.
The shame that is in our world from our society has caused so many problems for every individual citizen to the point of causing parents and others to mainly view their kids behaviours as rebellious, wrong, unethical, and much else that goes against their methods of parenting.
If you can’t be fully present with the difficult moments, chances are you won’t be present with the best moments of your life either. ~ Christopher K. Germer, PhD
Our society has become as much as it has because of their misunderstandings, beliefs, values and all else that has prevented them from ever supporting, understanding, respecting and loving all those who are living with mental illness.

The mental health community has been shamed for too long and all these amazing platforms online such as “Stigma Fighters” “I’m Not Ashamed” “Conquer Worry” “The Mighty” & “Mind Your Mind” are a few to list are amazing! We need to continue sharing our stories around mental illness and addiction to help represent hope and better beginnings.
Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of. But stigma and bias shame us all. – Bill Clinton
Life is not what it is when you live with mental illness. Whether you live with one or know someone who does. And it’s so crucially important to follow all the right paths and decisions with our mental health as much as we should for other’s mental health too.
Mental health is just as important as our physical health.

Sharing our stories around mental illness and addiction is inspiring and yet gives hope to others who need it!

Seeking help is not a sign of weakness, it’s rather a sign of strength!

Life matters!

Living with mental illness is not at all what anyone would want nor expect in any way possible. But all those who are, are living proof that it is possible!
