And that alone is not easy to accomplish in life. Once you think of all the things that can hold someone from loving themselves, you realize how hard it truly is to do in life.

But those who have and are still currently battling and recovering from their mental illness(s), may have loved themselves before the illness(s) or not at all. But when you reach the end of your recovery, you will be able to do normal things that others who don’t have mental illnesses.

Example:

You can breathe normally without the anxiety acting up, think more clearly and manage your thoughts, practice, know positive and healthy mental health, have fun, smile, laugh and actually feel those emotions plus the other emotions that you couldn’t “feel” before till now, and also love yourself either again or for the first time.

Being able to love yourself after suffering from mental health struggles, you learn how important it is to love yourself, to not take it for granted, and also be grateful that you have re-created yourself, recovered and finally achieved love for yourself again or for the first time.

Self Love:

Is more important that many people think. If your hard on yourself, your brain may become mentally ill/damaged sooner than you think. So take care of yourself, not just your physical health but your mental health too. Self care, self love, self worth, self esteem, self confidence. I for one have been a lot better with taking care of my mental health, and physical health more since I have recovered from my depression. But still working on ways to cope with my anxiety, sensitivity and ADHD.
