I’m always worried about my life as an electrical engineer but I’ve harbored a passion for writing. Creating thrilling stories has been my escape, a world where I could craft cliffhanger tales of suspense and intrigue. However, juggling my engineering career and my writing aspirations has never been easy and a period of illness taught me the importance of balance and invaluable lessons.

The Unexpected Pause

Falling sick forced me to slow down my priorities. The relentless deadlines and the constant rush of my engineering job took a backseat as I found myself confined to rest and recovery. During this time, I realized how much I missed writing. It wasn’t just a hobby but a vital part of who I am.

Embracing the Silence

The quiet moments of recuperation gave me the opportunity to reflect. I began to see writing not just as a pastime, but as a therapeutic outlet. The stillness around me provided the perfect backdrop for creativity to flourish. I found solace in penning down my thoughts, and soon, my mind was brimming with new ideas for my thriller novel, "HE WAS MURDERED."

Balancing Acts

I learned to manage my time better with dedicated slots for writing amidst my engineering responsibilities. It wasn’t easy, but the discipline I developed during my illness became my greatest ally. I set realistic goals, allowing myself to make steady progress without feeling overwhelmed.

Finding Joy in the Process

Writing became a source of joy and fulfillment, a way to decompress after a long day of work. Whether it was crafting a new plot twist or simply jotting down character sketches, every moment spent writing felt like a reward.

Moving Forward

Illness taught me to appreciate the small victories. Completing a chapter, receiving feedback, or simply spending an hour writing felt monumental. Today, as I continue my journey as an electrical engineer and an author, I carry with me the lessons learned during my illness. Writing remains an integral part of my life, a passion I nurture alongside my professional career. The balance I’ve achieved not only enriches my stories but also brings a sense of harmony to my everyday life.

Conclusion

Overall my sickness taught me to pursue my passion along with the demands of a full-time job. It’s about finding that delicate balance, embracing the quiet moments, and cherishing the journey as much as the destination.

Did you enjoy my story? I’d greatly appreciate it if you could give it a clap.
