Tony Xu, Joined Merculet as the GM of China’s Northern Market, Former GM of LeView Mobile Employee №4
Recently, Zhen Xu (Tony), the former GM of telecommunication department of LeView Mobile, was appointed as GM and is responsible for the operation of Merculet in North China.
Tony held senior positions in ZET, Motorola, Samsung, Lenovo and other leading telecom companies. He has achieved over 100 million Yuan a sales volume throughout his tenure. Tony was one of the early founders of LeView Mobile and therefore has witnessed the positive and negative strides of the company. During his service at LeView Mobile, he supported to the creation of the brand and realized substantial sales volume from 0 to 20 million phones within 1.5 years. He brought forth the design of China’s first data-free roaming phone model which not only consumes zero data during video streaming but also integrates memberships, operators’ traffic, and mobile phones into one handset. Under his leadership, the data-free roaming phone model was well received and has triggered a new trend of data-free in China.
Tony has acquired excellent capabilities to expand market shares and integrate resources. By comparing and contrasting marketing models and algorithms adopted by different companies, Tony has gained in-depth understandings of mobile Internet. Owing to Tony’s rich experience in sales and team management, he will expand market penetration. Also, he will design industrial development plans based on Merculet’s foot prints, build vertical channels in cooperation with upper-stream, and engage in exchanges and communications with relevant associations and organizations to advance necessary supports and resources.
