You are in the wrong place

Medium feels like that

Rejection feels like a wrecking ball to the soul, doesn’t it?

The unsung villain that sneaks into our work, feelings, and dreams.

It’s like a sudden rain on a sunny day, soaking through the plans we carefully laid out.

That resounding NO echoes through your very being, tearing down the walls you built with hope.

I’ve lived it, and chances are, you have too.

That moment when the rejection lands, and suddenly, the universe seems to conspire against us.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of self-blame, questioning our worth, and, in the darkest corners of our minds, questioning our abilities, the essence of what we poured our heart into.

It’s like standing in front of a mirror, wondering if the reflection is somehow flawed.

But, wait a minute — let’s strip away the harsh judgments. What if, instead of a flaw in you or your creation, it’s simply a mismatch?

Like trying to find your favorite song on the wrong radio station, maybe you’re just in the wrong place — you’re awesome; you just need to find where your vibe syncs.

Ever find yourself falling head over heels for something unexpected? That’s how my love story with writing began.

Full of excitement, curiosity, and a dash of courage, I decided to send my first blog to a publication.

My heart raced as I sent my first blog to a publication, hoping for a magical ‘yes.’ Instead, what I got was a rejection — a digital punch to the gut.

Emotions went haywire. Disappointment and self-doubt set in like uninvited guests. It’s like your brain playing a sad song, making you question everything about yourself.

But hey, I wasn’t ready to let rejection have the final say. There was still ink in my pen and a story to tell.

Round two? Another rejection. Ouch. It felt like the universe was testing my dedication. Yet, that little spark in me, call it stubbornness or hope, refused to fizzle out. I dove back into my words, fueled by the messy mix of passion and perseverance.

Now, the psychology of perseverance is a curious thing. It’s that little voice inside that whispers, “You can do it,” even when the odds seem stacked. So, despite the bruises from rejection, I decided to take a chance on a big-shot publication. What did I have to lose?

Days passed, and I had almost forgotten about it. Then, there it was — an email that read, “Congratulations! Your Draft is Accepted.” Cue the tears, but this time, they were tears of joy. The validation was sweet, and it felt like a warm hug from the writing gods.

This tale, my friend, is as human as it gets. It’s about stumbling, falling, and then picking yourself back up. Rejection wasn’t the end; it was a detour that led to unexpected triumph.

Ever heard the saying, “Surround yourself with people who appreciate you”? It’s not just Instagram wisdom; it’s a roadmap to a brighter place.

Imagine a space where your ideas are high-fived, your feelings are understood, and your work is celebrated.

Wandering through the twists and turns of Medium, I’ve faced those tough moments when my words were met with rejection — it stings, right?

But, oh, there were also these beautiful instances when someone out there connected with my thoughts. To all you wonderful souls who embraced my words, you’re the reason this journey feels alive, and I’m genuinely thankful.

And let’s not forget about my Medium buddies — you guys are the real deal. In a world of pixels and screens, you’ve turned this writing gig into a shared adventure, a real human experience.

Sure, rejection knocked on my door, but appreciation swung it open wide, creating a space that feels like a warm, welcoming hug. It’s like finding a tribe that just clicks, and Medium has become that cozy corner where it all unfolds.

So, thank you. Thank you for being a part of this beautifully messy ride, for turning setbacks into small victories, and for making Medium feel like a genuine heart-to-heart with friends.

Your support means everything, and here’s to the human connection that makes this writing journey truly special. Cheers to each one of you!

Medium feels like that tribe — the ones who will look at your heart and say, “Yes, this is where you belong.”

So, to all those dreamers out there facing rejection, It doesn’t mean you’re any less incredible; it just means your magic belongs elsewhere.

So, keep going….

Your story is still being written, one ink-stained page at a time.
