Mercuryo is a convenient service to help you buy crypto with the minimal commissions using a plastic card from any country around the globe, and store it safely on our wallet. You can do so via our landing page, which is a full-service crypto wallet. We are currently testing a mobile application that will be available in Play Market and App Store soon.

We accept Visa and MasterCard for now, but we are planning to issue a virtual card, compatible with Apple and Android Pay, in the nearest future. The balance of the card will be equal to your Mercuryo wallet. With it, you can make purchases in any places that support Paypass/Paywave technologies.

To access the web version, register at https://mercuryo.io. For amounts under 1000 Euro, KYC is not required. However, if you pass verification in the system, your daily limit will comprise 2000 Euro. You can also visit https://exchange.mercuryo.io if you want to buy BTC as fast as possible without registration. In that case, your limit will be 1000 Euro overall, and it cannot be raised.

If you have any queries about the service work, contact us at support@mercuryo.io.

KYC

Similar to AML, Know-Your-Customer procedures, or KYC, are called to prevent fraud, money laundering and illegal financial operations, but this time we are talking about individuals, not companies and other legal entities. There are three categories of individuals as to KYC:

  • First, operations with less than 1000 Euro only require verifying customer’s phone number and e-mail.
  • For transactions up to 25.000 EUR one will need to pass the whole KYC procedure, which implies providing a selfie with your ID (or passport), and a scan of the document itself. It will take the system 10–20 minutes to verify your account.
  • For operations with more than 25.000 EUR, we will have a Skype call with you.

If you have any problems with passing KYC, the first thing you should do Is check if your photos are of good quality, and try to re-upload them with a better resolution. You’ve done everything correctly, but nothing happens? Contact us at support@mercuryo.io!

Make sure you have also read the privacy policy on how your data is collected and stored: https://mercuryo.io/privacy_en.html.
