Meet MERJ: Keith Mondon
Get to know the team behind MERJ Exchange - next in our series is Keith Mondon, Head of Operations.
Keith graduated with a BSc (Hons) Economics and Finance from the University of London with academic direction from the London School of Economics (LSE). He was awarded the Dean’s Award from his Faculty as well as the Outstanding Performer Award. Following his graduation, he has been part of the MERJ Team, and has been working towards his professional qualification as an investment practitioner. He currently holds an Advanced Certificate in Investment Operations from the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI).
Keith knows first-hand the back-office functionality and operations of MERJ EXCHANGE. For the past 3 years, he has been the Head of Operations of MERJ Clearing & Settlement Ltd (“MERJ CLEAR”) and MERJ Depository & Registry Ltd (“MERJ DEP”), where he is responsible for the process management and delivery of post-trade services. He works closely with relevant stakeholders within the industry to operate their business properly without compromising their clients, shareholders and the broader market. His role requires him to oversee smooth day-to-day processing of securities and settlement operations whilst monitoring and controlling operational risk, in order to comply with regulatory and legal frameworks.
Keith enjoys travelling and is fluent in English, French and Creole. He believes that finding balance is very important and that chocolate should have no calories. When he is not whipping up a delicious dessert, you can find him hiking in the forests of Seychelles where he is based currently.
