About the Panelists

Mriganka Pattnaik, CEO & Co-Founder, Merkle Science

Mriganka Pattnaik is the Co-Founder and CEO of Merkle Science. He has experience across investment banking and technology and has worked at Bank of America and Luno (in Singapore), a Naspers backed cryptocurrency exchange headquartered in London, where he led business expansion across southeast Asia. His experience spans cryptocurrency and finance across three continents.

Irfan Ahmad, Vice President & APAC Team Lead for Digital Product Development and Innovation (DPDI), State Street

Irfan Ahmad is a vice president and the APAC lead for the Digital Product Development and Innovation (DPDI) team at State Street.

Irfan joined State Street Global Markets, EMEA in December 2014, where he worked in the company’s EMEA Business Architecture function. Since then, he has worked in strategy, regulatory product development and sales in London and Hong Kong. He is now based in Singapore and leads the DPDI team’s efforts in the region.

Prior to joining State Street, he worked across Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) technology at Barclays Investment Bank, where he was responsible for their Run the Bank (RTB) project portfolio, service management and business continuity management in EMEA. He later joined the Algorithmic Electronic Trading Technology (AETT) and Trade Processing Engine (TPE) team, where he oversaw the risk and control practices within EMEA.

Irfan holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in economics and economic history from the University of Manchester.

Stephen Richardson, Vice President of Product Strategy, Fireblocks

Stephen Richardson is the VP of Product Strategy at Fireblocks. Stephen has multiple years of experience in both traditional and crypto-focused financial institutions. Stephen’s role at Fireblocks involves structuring, developing, and evaluating strategic opportunities with traditional financial services and native digital asset companies that align with the growth of the Fireblocks platform.

Prior to Fireblocks, Stephen was a Senior Manager within the Financial Services practice of Accenture Strategy, where he focused on transforming customer experience and digital enablement programs for leading Financial Services firms. Prior to Accenture, Stephen worked as Head of Strategy and Head of Product (Business) for Noble Markets. While at Noble, Stephen was responsible for evaluating and implementing key strategic objectives, including the development of Noble’s banking and trade settlement products. Stephen holds a B.A. from Cornell University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis (Olin School of Business).

Henry Chong, CEO, Fusang Group

Henry Chong is the Chief Executive Officer of the Fusang Group. He is also a member of the University of Oxford’s research group on digital assets law and regulation. Henry is a Board Director of Portcullis: The Asian Wealth Manager. Portcullis is Asia’s biggest independent group of trust companies, and provides a one-stop shop for corporate, trustee and fund administration services to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, philanthropies, private banks, and investment managers. Henry was also a Board Director at Oyster Security: providing a complete spectrum of cybersecurity knowledge and consultancy services to small and medium enterprises in Singapore.

Henry holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics, and a Master of Arts from the University of Oxford. Henry holds a Masters of Science in Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics & Political Science, where he wrote his thesis on the behaviour of family offices. He also holds a Diploma in Information Technology, that he completed at the age of 12, and a Certificate in Chinese Language & Literature from Peking University. Henry is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society. He is a member of the Hong Kong Securities Institute.
