How to create an account using Polkadot.js extension

This guide will walk you through the steps necessary to create an account using Polkadot.js extension:

1. Install Polkadot.js extension for Chrome:

2. Click the extension icon in the top right corner to open it:

3. Create an account by clicking a big plus in the center:

4. IMPORTANT: Save the 12 words you see on your screen securely.

• Anyone who knows these 12 words can get access to your account
• You will not be able to access your account on another computer or browser if you lose these words

When you checked that you have the words stored securely, mark the “I have saved my mnemonic seed safely” and click “Next step”:

5. Type any username and password for your account. This password will only be used on this computer and you’ll need to use the 12 words you saved to relogin to your account on another device:
