This article will guide you through how to obtain the “Stargazer” role within the Robonomics Discord.
To be eligible for the “Stargazer” Discord role, you must be the holder of an eligible Stargazer NFT, such as the First Beyond the Sky collection.
Once you have acquired an eligible Stargazer NFT, you need to sign a message on Polkadot JS using the account which holds your NFT. Inside the “data to be signed” input field, the only thing that you should enter is your Discord username, i.e. “Leemo#1337” (with no quotation marks “”). The below screenshots will guide you through this process.
First you need to head over to Polkadot JS and ensure that you have selected the Kusama network.
Click on the top left drop down.
Select Kusama under “Kusama & Parachains” and then click “switch”.
Once you have switched to the Kusama network, head on over to the “Developer” drop down tab, and click on “sign and verify”.
In the “account” field, you need to ensure that you select your account which is holding the eligible Stargazer NFT. In the “sign the following data” field, the only thing that you should enter is your Discord username, i.e. “Leemo#1337” (with no quotation marks “”). Then you need to press the “Sign message” button.
A Polkadot JS prompt will appear, input your account password and press “Sign the message”.
Now a new field will appear titled “signature of the supplied data”. This hash value is what you need to send to the Robonomics team along with your Discord username. (Note: don’t press “sign message” a second time as this will cause issues with validating your message).
In the Stargazer Verification channel in the Robonomics Discord, send the hashed value from the “signature of supplied data” field, your Substrate (Kusama) account address, and your Discord username (i.e. Leemo#1337), a member of the Robonomics team will then validate your message and promote you. The Stargazer Discord role allows you to chat in the First Beyond the Sky Discord channel and may come with additional perks later on.
A member of the Robonomics team will then use the supplied hash value along with your Substrate address, and Discord username to validate your message. Once the message has been validated and it has been confirmed that you hold a Stargazer NFT, you will receive your role in the Discord server.
