German online magazine CulturMag presents every year a manifold review avalanche by writers, artists, journalists and more. Merzmensch took part in it — in German. Here is my translation for you.

My warnings in Culturmag (see 2021, 2022, 2023) have been heard. AI is here to stay. And it is even beginning to age, like books.

Some books age well, becoming wrinkled and grumpy, like a grouchy pensioner who glares at his surroundings over a second beer at a German carnival.

(Don’t confuse Bachtin and Bakunin, otherwise there will be blood on your carnival)

That’s why I thoroughly updated my book ‘AI ART’ this year in its second edition. After all, it’s about art and (surprise!) AI. Since everything is constantly changing in these areas (tempora mutantur), and we actually are, too (nos et mutamur in illis), I chose a meta-perspective to look into the past and the future.
