In her 8 years as a teacher, Brittany Schnieder has worked at multiple different schools, one of them being Kratz Elementary within the Rittenour School District. Like others, Brittany experienced many challenges and frustrating moments teaching, but what was the appeal in the first place? For those who work as educators in St. Louis, there are some positives.

St. Louis school districts face many struggles and obstacles, but this doesn’t mean it is all bad. The students who attend these schools express qualities that build relationships between teacher and student, rewarding teachers for the time and effort they put in to making their school years productive and worthwhile. Brittany shares some of her favorite times, showing the appeal that many educators see going into the career.
