We’ve partnered up with IFTTT to bring you our latest integration! Say hello to the MessageBird IFTTT Channel, which allows you to connect our SMS, Chat and Voice messaging services to hundreds of programs and applications, so you can create new functionalities across multiple platforms.
IFTTT allows you to combine the functionalities of products and apps you love within an If-This-Then-That structure. So through our channel, you’re able to create simple connections between our messaging services and other apps or products. We’re not just expanding the usability of our messaging services: we’re making it easier and more fun for you to use the products you love.
There are some powerful combinations to be made; think of receiving a message whenever you get a new customer on SalesForce or a new issue gets added on Github. Automatically save all your incoming messages to Dropbox or Google Drive. Turn on your Nest thermostat or your LG washing machine with a text. The possibilities really are endless. But in case you’re having trouble coming up with ideas, we’ve conjured up some Applets to demonstrate just how convenient collaborative automation can be.
The process of creating and implementing Applets is simple and straightforward. IFTTT will take you through the trigger and action options along with a few key configurations to get started. After that, all that’s left to do is publish and turn on your new Applet! And of course, if you have any trouble along the way, our team at MessageBird and the team over at IFTTT are always here to help.
- Get an SMS when you receive a new Github pull request
- Get an SMS when there’s a carbon monoxide emergency
- Send yourself an SMS if it’s going to rain tomorrow and you might need an umbrella
