Discovering a new favorite music is an amazing experience. When you find a new music you really like, you want to share it with people you relate to and you care about — your friends who share the love for music. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could share your favorite song with a tap of a button?

BEAT is like Spotify of Korea. With more than 6 million users to date, it’s becoming one of the favorite go-to music apps in Korea for the young and the old. One of the neat things they provide is you can send music recommendations to your friends through its messaging feature powered by SendBird.

The people in the chat room can instantly start playing the music that they’ve received by tapping on the play button. Users can share the songs they’ve recently played with just a few taps. The user experience is simple and elegant.

I believe we can extend the experience a bit further, by allowing the people listening to the same live-radio stations to come and chat together. Using chat, we can create a feedback loop where the audience start interacting with the radio personality/DJ making it a two-way experience. The experience can evolve to become something like Twitch for music.

We believe any app with capability to create or distribute content can leverage this kind of user experience, allowing users to share content faster in a relevant context and also interact with the creators.

Please let us know if you know any other content creation/distribution apps that can benefit from this kind of experience!
