The META HISTORY project team created Ukraine’s first NFT war museum one month after Russia’s full-scale war. Since then we have managed to raise $1,486,357 (807.28 ETH) for the Aid For Ukraine crypto fund, created by the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation together with the Ukrainian crypto platform KUNA and the blockchain company Everstake, and the Charity Foundation of Serhiy Prytula.

“The idea of immortalizing the history of events in works of art and offering them to those who want to support Ukraine proved viable from day one. The drop in March brought in over $600,000 in 24 hours ⎯ 1,282 of 2,178 NFTs were sold. I think META HISTORY can make a significant contribution to supporting Ukraine by highlighting the truth through NFT art and selling it until the war is over,” Brittany Kaiser, META HISTORY ambassador, founder of #OwnYourData, blockchain activist.

In August META HISTORY released 4th drop of the NFT collection Warline https://metahistory.gallery, which consists of artwork that recounts the course of the war. Each of its significant events is illustrated by one of the hundreds of artists working in different areas of visual art: oil, 3D, motion, generative graphics, calligraphy, and abstraction. One of the exhibits is created by artificial intelligence.

The project team regularly shares details about the working process on the collection. Party Space, the project partner, provides a virtual exhibition space where the visitors can see 30 works from the every new drop, and learn more about the process of making them and the further plans from the art directors and artists involved in the project. Announcement of the event and information on how to attend appears on the museum’s META HISTORY social media pages.

META HISTORY museum’s event in the metaverse

“We saw great potential to raise funds for Ukraine through NFT art. We are now working to expand its capabilities by adding more options to allow more people to buy artwork. And along with the next drop, free mint will be implemented, we hope. There will also be regular metaverse events where you’ll learn more about the project and the behind-the-scenes,” VK, Founder of META HISTORY museum.
