Community Governance Grants 18 Projects on mpDAO
In an exciting development, the community governance process for mpDAO successfully allocated funds to 18 innovative projects. A total of 64,900,846 votes were cast across 51 proposals, more than double of votes allocated on mpDAO Grants 6, with a combined request of $220,026 USD.
This round marked a historic milestone with over $49,860 USD approved for grantees, supporting 18 projects. The total budget for this round was $119,581.70, leaving $69,781.70 remaining in the treasury.
The approval process for mpDAO Grants was based on a last-minute snapshot taken at 23:59 UTC on June 30th, 2024. This snapshot included votes, the grants treasury (17,206 stNEAR), and the stNEAR price (6.95 stNEAR/USDT) to calculate the winners.
As outlined in the documentation, every proposal needed to achieve a proportional amount of votes corresponding to the amount requested to be approved.

The Open Web Academy and the Retroactive Funding QF Round on Potlock proposal achieved more than 5% of the round votes but didn’t pass the approval threshold. They will have a second chance at mpDAO Grants 8, accumulating 882 tokens approved for Open Web Academy and 1,172.6 tokens for Potlock.
Payments Based on Results
Grantees will not receive the payments upfront. Instead, they must provide reports of the work completed to receive the requested grant. This ensures accountability and transparency.
