Super Bomberman and Crazy Arcade, games of a generation

If you are in your 30s and feel nostalgic about your childhood sometimes, there is something you probably couldn’t forget, Bomberman. It was everywhere in the late 80s and 90s, whether you were in North America, Europe or Asia. That was the time PCs were still running MS-DOS. NES, and later the SNES were considered the best gaming consoles at the time. Yet, next to the likes of Super Mario, Star-Fox, and Legend of Zelda, Bomberman still took a special place in gamers’ memories because of its straightforward gameplay, art style, and one of the first to offer local multiplayer. Do you still remember the times you have to blow into the cartridge to get it working?

Yeah, me too.

Later in your childhood, Crazy Arcade, another Bomber game bring its unique twist by replacing bombs with water balloons and traps the characters who are hit by its splash in bubbles. Both are fun to play, and both are histories. Let’s have a quick drive through the memory lane.

The Brief History and Trivia of Bomberman and Crazy Arcade

The first Bomberman (Bakudan Otoko) was released by Hudson Soft in July 1983 for Japanese home computers.
