About Amazon Prime Day 💰

Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale has turned into one of the biggest shopping days of the year. This year, Amazon expects that more than one million items will be marked down on July 15 and 16, ready for bargain shoppers to buy. But if you’re shopping for deals during this year’s Prime Day, be careful. While you’re looking for deals, malicious actors will be looking to separate you from your money with scams.

The phishing problem 🎣

Cybersecurity firm McAfee reported that a popular phishing kit, called 16Shop, has recently turned its attention to Amazon. While the kit has been designed to scam Apple customers, a modified version is now targeting Amazon shoppers just in time for one of the biggest shopping days of the year.

👉 It’s technically impossible for any security company to detect every new phishing scam. That’s why we tackle the problem with a very unique approach.

How to stay safe 🔒

MetaCert will protect you from known phishing, malware and ransomware threats, but that’s not the utility. The main purpose of the software is to make it virtually impossible for anyone to fall for a dangerous link or dangerous website. We do this by telling you which links are safe, and which websites you can trust.

Don’t rely on the browser padlock because over 90% of all new phishing scams display the lock.

Get MetaCert and always keep an eye on the new Green Shield of trust. If it ain’t green it shouldn’t be seen. Think of MetaCert as your personal security guard.
