Dear community,

Metadium started five years ago as a blockchain platform focused on Decentralized Identifier (DID) technology, and it has continued expanding in the web3 market. Over the years, Metadium’s technology has been used in multiple services and solutions, ranging from identification and authentication to mobile payment and transportation services. Our ecosystem is constantly growing and has recently reached industries like logistics, automotive, tourism, and more.

We are happy to share with you Metadium 2.0’s roadmap as well as the plans for our future:

Metadium 2.0

Blockchain Identification for All

Metadium is an open-source public blockchain that provides identification by issuing, authenticating, inquiring, verifying, and managing history through various services based on decentralized identifier (DID) technology.

1. Platform Technology

Ethereum equivalence support and EVM compatibility

The Metadium platform is developed with the expansion of META ID and the availability of smart contracts as a top priority.
Provide EVM compatibility for an easy onboarding process and the smooth processing of tasks (deployment, execution, etc).
Reflect Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) to ensure an environment that promotes Metadium ecosystem’s growth and contributes to the blockchain ecosystem with open source library updates.

2. Governance

Enable active governance operations through an autonomous authority configuration to develop and grow the Metadium ecosystem.
Optimize Metadium’s cloud infrastructure and governance contracts for more active participation and platform utilization of node authority.
Create an environment where everyone interested in blockchain and its services (DApps), including Metadium users, can make suggestions and be considered.
Evolve Metadium’s global vision of DAO organizations with a more professional and detailed operational direction.

3. META ID 2.0

Scaling up through META ID

Provide a stable and seamless user experience and META ID smart contracts despite a growing ecosystem and the number of users.
Expand Metadium’s ecosystem with Decentralized ID (META ID) and ID Hub infrastructure.
Provide an environment with functions and information about the decentralized ID (META ID), and ID Hub can be applied to each of the DApp’s settings . It also provides model discovery and functionality that combine blockchain information and user authentication information like META ID user labeling and inter-blockchain VC.
Increase scalability by taking a “Hub” role that connects authentication information, such as user KYC and other credentials, through a Metadium-based bridging technology that can interoperate with other blockchains and services.

4. Development Support

Create an open and developer-friendly environment for onboarding various projects into the ecosystem.
Simplify the onboarding process by providing SDK and open source that can be easily deployed and META ID & ID Hub packages in a library format that includes the W3C standard.
Provide data about Metadium, data flow visualization (API) in META ID and ID Hub, and tools that promote a more transparent and reliable development environment.

메타디움 플랫폼은 META ID의 확장과 스마트 컨트랙트의 가용성을 최우선적으로 고려하여 개발합니다.
생태계 진입 편의성 및 원활한 작업 처리(배포, 실행)를 위해 EVM의 호환성을 제공합니다.
메타디움은 플랫폼 개발자 생태계 확장을 위해 EIP(Ethereum Improvement Proposals)를 지속 반영하며 오픈 소스 라이브러리 업데이트로 블록체인 기술 생태계에 기여합니다.

2. Governance 2.0

Metadium 2.0에서는 기존 Metadium 생태계를 개발하고 성장시키는 것을 목표로 자율적인 Authority 구성을 통해 적극적인 거버넌스 운영이 실현됩니다.
노드 Authority의 보다 적극적인 참여와 플랫폼 이용을 위해 Metadium 클라우드 인프라와 거버넌스 컨트랙트 최적화 업무들을 올해 진행합니다.
Metadium 사용자를 포함하여 블록체인과 서비스(DApp)에 관심을 가진 모두가 자유롭게 제안할 수 있고 다양한 의견과 요구사항이 수용 가능한 환경을 조성하여, 글로벌 비전 DAO 조직의 큰 틀에서 보다 전문적이고 자세한 논의가 필요한 카테고리 분류와 세분화된 운영 방향을 통해 발전해 나가도록 합니다.

3. META ID 2.0

Scaling up through META ID

Metadium은 탈중앙화 ID (META ID)와 ID Hub 인프라로 생태계를 확장해 나갈 수 있도록 생태계 네트워크의 성장과 사용자 수 증가에도 안정적이고 원활한 이용 환경과 META ID 컨트랙트를 제공합니다.
탈중앙화 ID (META ID)와 ID Hub에 대한 기능과 정보를 각 DApp의 환경에 적용할 수 있는 환경을 제공하며, META ID User Labelling, Inter-blockchain VC 등 블록체인 정보와 사용자 인증 정보를 접합하는 모델 발굴과 기능 제공을 통해 흩어진 데이터를 보다 가치 있게 활용 가능토록 합니다.
Metadium 플랫폼을 기반으로 기타 체인 및 서비스와의 상호 운영이 가능한 브릿징 기술을 통해 사용자 KYC 등의 인증 정보를 이어주는 “Hub” 역할을 실현하여 확장성을 증대하는 기술 개발을 추진합니다.

4. 개발자 생태계 지원

Development Support

Metadium은 개방적이고 개발자 친화적인 환경을 조성하며 기존 프로젝트 생태계 외에도 새롭고 다양한 프로젝트 온보딩 및 생태계 확장을 목표로 합니다.
온보딩에 필요한 작업 및 절차의 단순화 하기 위해 플랫폼 위에 구축할 수 있는 SDK 및 오픈소스를 제공하며, META ID & ID Hub 패키지는 W3C 표준을 포함하는 라이브러리 형태로 개발/제공됩니다.
Metadium에 대한 데이터, META ID & ID Hub의 흐름의 시각화 정보(API)를 제공하며, 보다 투명하고 안정적으로 개발할 수 있는 환경을 제공하기 위한 도구들을 제공합니다.
