Metadium 2.0 Teaser Revealed
Dear Metadium community,
Prior to the release of Metadium 2.0 scheduled for the fourth quarter of the present year, we are happy to share a teaser website that includes Metadium’s goal and future roadmap, as well as a highlights recap of our past years.
Since its founding in 2018, Metadium has remained committed to its principles of Self Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Data Protection. In addition, Metadium has been contributing to the standardization of DID technology by cooperating in the development of its foundational components as part of the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF) and in cooperation with the w3c.
Our technology has been implemented in multiple projects, both in the private and public sector, bringing innovation and security to millions of people. Some of those projects include CenterPay (Korea Post), Hyundai Card, MetaPass, METAPiE, MYKEEPiN, Metadium SDK for Unity, THEPOL and more.
We’ve also been honored with the trust received from multiple Korean government institutions including Busan City, KISA, CENTAP, and KOSPO, among others.
Metadium’s second generation focuses on its advanced technology and experience to provide a secure bridge to compliant services.
As blockchain technology continues to be accepted and integrated in multiple industries, the need for compliance grows. Metadium firmly believes that a new ecosystem of compliant services and solutions is necessary to achieve blockchain’s true potential. This is why we are bringing more members that share our beliefs and commitments. Two of our most recent partnerships include Prain Global and BELIVVR.
In addition to the roadmap below, we are working on new partnerships in industries including: DeFi, retail, gaming, metaverse, and more.

4분기로 예정된 메타디움 2.0 공개 이전에 메타디움의 새로운 비전과 각 분기별 로드맵 공유를 위한 티저 사이트 오픈 소식과 함께 지난 프로젝트 성과 내용 공유드립니다.
메타디움은 2018년 출범 이후, DID 플랫폼을 기반으로한 블록체인 프로젝트 지원, 생태계와의 상호연결성 강화 등을 통해 Web3 시대에 신뢰, 개인정보보호, 보안 분야에서 주요한 기술 제공을 위해 노력했습니다.
프로젝트 초기부터 DID 인프라를 구축하고 상용화하는 것이 목표였으며, 이를 위해 메타디움 블록체인 기반 다수의 서비스와 프로젝트를 구축한 바 있습니다. 그 목표에 이어 2022년 하반기에는 메타디움 2.0을 향한 새로운 목표를 수립하고 새로운 도전을 이어가고자 합니다.
메타디움 2.0은 고도화된 기술과 경험을 바탕으로 기존 규제화된 서비스와 상호 연결, 호환 가능한 새로운 생태계 제공을 목표로 합니다.
블록체인 기술은 다양한 산업 분야에 활용되면서 성장과 변화를 겪고 있습니다. 이러한 환경 속에 자율 규제에 대한 필요성의 목소리가 높아지고 있습니다. 메타디움은 기존 규제화된 서비스와 상호 연결, 호환 가능한 새로운 생태계를 구현하고자 합니다.
이를 목표로 로드맵을 수립하고 이를 수행할 계획입니다. 메타디움 메인넷 하드포크, 익스플로러 업데이트 등 기술적인 뿐만 아니라 메타디움 생태계 확대와 운영 개선을 위한 계획을 포함했습니다.
또한, 사전에 공유해드린 바와 같이 메타디움은 Energy&Mobility, Metaverse, Digital Transformation, Gaming 등의 다양한 분야의 파트너와 함께 생태계를 확장해 나갈 계획입니다. 최근 국내 1위 PR 컨설팅 기업 프레인글로벌 블록체인 부문, WebXR 메타버스 기술 전문기업 BELIVVR 등의 기업과 파트너십을 체결하고 함께 하기로 하였으며, 그 외 다수의 파트너와 적극적인 논의가 추가로 진행중입니다.
Looking Ahead
지난 4년간의 여정을 통해 메타디움은 DID에 중점을 둔 플랫폼 및 디앱 서비스 개발 등을 통해 다양한 모습을 보여드렸습니다. 2022년의 메타디움은 생태계 성장과 함께 새로운 기술 발전으로 목표를 향해 나아갈 것을 약속드립니다.
