Dear Community,

Despite numerous challenges, Metadium has achieved grown significantly over the past 5 years. We are proud to announce unveiling our latest vision map as Metadium prepares for another leap in 2024.

Mission: Metadium with advanced technology, creating a new market

Since the announcement of Metadium 2.0, the Metadium team has been dedicated to providing better services. To achieve this updates such as Fee delegation, improvements in block validation methods, and the adoption of the EIP-1559 mechanism were implemented to offer users more convenient and secure services. Additionally, various partnerships have been to expand the Metadium ecosystem.

Metadium is enhancing its technological capabilities to provide services that more users can seamlessly adopt. Through the B2G (business-to-global) model, Metadium aims to expand its ecosystem globally. Moreover, we aim to lower the barriers to entry into the blockchain environment, providing opportunities for Web 2 users to easily and conveniently experience the benefits of Web 3. It will enable Metadium to open doors to various areas, such as smart student IDs, autonomous driving, and supply chain.

Metadium seeks to create a new market through advanced technology, breaking down the boundaries between Web 2 and Web 3, and striving for a continuous effort to create a high-value-added service model.

Vision: Decentralized Self-Sovereign Identity, Innovation in Digital Identity Management and Authentication

Metadium Blockchain’s Identity Layer aims to achieve decentralized self-sovereign identity and revolutionize users’ digital identity management and authentication. Users can directly own and manage their digital identities, securely protecting personal information and identity data through the blockchain-based Identity Layer without the need for central authorities or intermediaries, and selectively share them only when necessary.

With the advancement of blockchain technology, damages related to virtual assets are increasing, prompting countries to introduce regulations on blockchain-based services. KYC (Know Your Customer) is emphasized as an essential regulatory element, and DID (Decentralized Identity) services can be utilized for this purpose. Due to decentralization, blockchain-based services often involve anonymous transactions, potential harming users. Consequently, regulations requiring verification of the identity of transaction initiators are gradually expanding.

Furthermore, blockchain technology faces challenges such as malicious attacks and illicit fundraising, leading various countries to implement anti-money laundering (AML) measures for virtual asset operators. DeFi (Decentralized Finance) is the most active area of blockchain-based services, where KYC is emphasized as a mandatory requirement. Therefore, expanding DID services is expected to form the basis for blockchain-based financial transactions.

Metadium is striving to address the challenges experienced by users by introducing DID in various technical fields. Additionally, we pursue the B2G (Business-to-global) model and continuously improve multiple services to provide smooth services for businesses, including enhancing block validation methods. Metadium prioritizes personal data protection and user-centric services, aiming to contribute to blockchain technology’s innovation and security enhancement. Through these efforts, Metadium seeks to contribute to the development of the blockchain ecosystem and expand the ecosystem globally.

Metadium Vision Map 2024

Metadium is planning to enhance the blockchain network, governance changes, and expand DID usability through its 2024 Vision Map.

#Phase 1 — Chain Improvement

Metadium aims to improve its chain in line with the rapidly changing trends in the blockchain network. Although it already has high reliability and performance, it plans to make changes specific processes and provide additional support for ecosystem needs to prepare for future changes. Through this, Metadium will be able to reflect new technologies and service trends and be ready to apply upgrades safely and quickly.

# Phase 2 — Governance Change

Metadium’s upgrade begins with changes in governance. The governance operation, which allows network members to make decisions in a decentralized manner, has been validated over years of upgrades and modifications. Metadium aims to improve governance to enable decision-making on various aspects of the chain ecosystem and increase the participation of network members. The improved governance will strengthen the network’s decentralization through continuous upgrades and evolve in a transparent and reliable direction.

# Phase 3 — DID Usability Expansion

After the changes in governance and the establishment of a trusted environment, Metadium completes a trusted environment for a powerful DID service. The goal is to expand the usability of DID by broadening its scope and providing various functions through upgrades. Metadium is expected to serve as an identity layer by adding DID usage on-chain and strong connections with other chains. As the usage scope of DID expands in the on-chain environment, solutions utilizing DID transactions will increase, improving the activation of the network ecosystem and the stability of services.

Evolution of Metadium, easier to blockchain

Metadium is a project to build an innovative blockchain ecosystem based on Decentralized Identity (DID) technology and trust. To achieve this, it plans to integrate with Ethereum-based EVM blockchains to bring transactions from various services into Metadium and activate the ecosystem. Metadium aims to provide users with freedom and security, pioneering the future of blockchain by understanding the importance of identity information and enabling user-centric identity management. Additionally, the Metadium blockchain will contribute to the blockchain ecosystem through self-sovereign identity, supporting the proliferation of services that enhance decentralization and personal data protection. 메타디움 블록체인 Identity Layer는 탈중앙화된 자기주권 신원을 실현하고, 사용자들의 디지털 신원 관리와 인증을 혁신적으로 변화시키는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이를 위해 사용자들은 자신의 디지털 신원을 직접 소유하고 관리할 수 있으며, 중앙기관이나 중개자 없이 블록체인 기반의 Identity Layer를 통해 개인 정보와 신원 데이터를 안전하게 보호하고 필요한 경우에만 선택적으로 공유할 수 있습니다.

메타디움은 2024년 비전 맵을 통해 블록체인 네트워크의 개선과 거버넌스 변화, 그리고 DID 사용성 확장을 계획하고 있습니다.

Phase 1 — 체인 개선:

메타디움은 빠르게 변화하는 블록체인 네트워크 동향에 맞춰 체인을 개선하고자 합니다. 이미 높은 신뢰성과 성능을 가지고 있지만, 앞으로의 변화를 대비하여 일부 프로세스를 변경하고 생태계를 위해 필요한 기능을 추가적으로 지원합니다. 이를 통해 메타디움은 새로운 기술과 서비스 트렌드를 반영하고, 업그레이드를 안전하고 신속하게 적용할 수 있는 준비를 갖출 수 있게 됩니다.
