Metadium tech update: Hard Fork

Dear Metadium community,

We would like to inform you of the latest update of Metadium’s technology. Last week we applied further changes related to the Berlin and London Hard Forks’ EIPs in our testnet with the intention of increasing the support for our growing ecosystem.

The change in the code was applied in the block #38076000 at 2022–09–22 13:23:20 +UTC.

For reference, these are the main changes of both hard forks:

Berlin Fork EIPs

• EIP-2929: gas cost increases for state access opcodes
• EIP-2315: simple subroutines for the EVM
• EIP-2565: modexp precompile gas cost changes
• EIP-2718: typed transaction envelope EIP-2930: access list transactions

London Fork EIPs

• EIP-1559: Fee market change for ETH 1.0 chain (enabled. No incineration due to a zero base fee)
• EIP-3198: BASEFEE opcode
• EIP-3529: Reduction in refunds
• EIP-3541: Reject new contracts starting with the 0xEF byte

By reflecting the latest codes and functions (except for some related to the gas fee), Metadium Team expects an even bigger expansion of our ecosystem. For more information, you can take a look at the code reflected on github.
