Hello World, welcome to the Metalab Tech blog! For many years, Metalab has been known as the leading global product design agency. Since 2006, we’ve helped some of the world’s coolest companies build products and services that are attractive, thoughtful, and enjoyable to use. Slack, Uber, Coinbase, Apple, Blockchain, Disney, and Google, to name a few. We are so proud of the groundbreaking product design work that we’ve done over the years.
What many people do not know is that we also have a full stack product engineering team. We’ve been a little secret machine working behind the scenes bringing these amazing designs to life. We service our clients who need to rapidly get their products to market and do not have the capabilities, time nor capacity to move quickly to get to impact.
Hi, I’m Jona Moore. In late 2021, I joined Metalab as Chief Technology Officer to help lead and grow the engineering team. My previous companies include leading technology globally at frog design/Capgemini and Publicis Razorfish. It was wonderful to get the opportunity to work with amazing big clients such as USAA, Marriott, Thomson Reuters, Johnson & Johnson, Albertsons and many more. I learned so much from working with amazing large enterprise companies. However, I came to Metalab because I wanted greater opportunities to work on more cutting edge, amazing consumer products that are rethinking our industry. Getting the chance to work with new venture founders and established Product leaders who are challenging norms and pushing product in new ways.
In the past 3 years, we’ve built and shipped over 30+ products to market. That is a lot for our small but mighty team. Some of this work is a mix of mobile, web, full stack platform and AI engineering. It includes Notarize, Ro, Tally Health, SummitCity MD, Coinbase, iFit, Exiger, The Atlantic, Atoms (Atomic Habits), Suno music app and the list goes on! I’m so so proud of this team and what we have accomplished.
We decided to start this Metalab Tech blog to share our work and learnings with the broader global software development community. Can’t wait for you to get to know our team. They’re senior technology leaders who have hands-on shipped several products to market in their careers. We are different from other agencies and tech companies because we ship more than talk. However, we get asked so many questions and how tos so…time for us to share.
