As we have seen during our last Medium, in order to fulfil the wishes of the DAO and work as safely as possible, the MetalSwap team has concentrated on the development of $XMT on the BNB chain, and in the meantime has reserved the right to better study the situation regarding Polygon.

What particular development have we been waiting for?

We can summarise the answer to this question in a single tweet, from late last year:

The main liquidity pair of the $XMT token is located on UniSwap V3, right here on the Ethereum chain.
Today, it has a total value of 9Million$ over the XMT/USDT 1% main pool.
Here, swapping any amount is costing more than 20$.

Bringing some liquidity on Polygon would create a new experience with shrinked costs of using the Uniswap Dex — just to start.

As we have already mentioned, Polygon represents an important boost for many applications, since, by reducing the cost of interaction between different smart contracts, it allows to land on a new ecosystem with new people and apps, and to create a more advantageous environment.

Indeed, a very intresting mechanism could be created here: the NFTs representing the liquidity brought to UniSwap V3 could be staked elsewhere…
bringing some juicy new token dynamics!

It was decided to stay and observe.
