MetaMirror Gallery Tutorial 1: Get your $ROSE Tokens on Oasis Emerald Paratime
MetaMirror Gallery (MMG) is the first fully-fledged NFT marketplace on Emerald chain — an EVM-compatible ParaTime on the Oasis Blockchain Network. MMG supports connecting your Ethereum-compatible address via MetaMask wallet. In order to trade NFTs on MMG, you need to have some $ROSE tokens in your Ethereum-compatible address on Oasis Emerald ParaTime. This tutorial will guide you from the very beginning as a cryptocurrency holder.
Step 1: Prepare your Oasis Wallet
First install the Oasis Wallet Browser extension. Next, create a new Oasis wallet or restore an existing one by following the Oasis Wallet Browser Extension chapter.
Step 2: Transfer $ROSE from exchanges to your Oasis Wallet address
This step supposes you already have some $ROSE in your exchange account (if not, you can buy $ROSE in crypto exchanges like Binance and Coinbase). Taking Binance as an example, you can withdraw $ROSE tokens from the Spot account to your Oasis Wallet.
After several minutes of confirmation, you should have $ROSE tokens in your Oasis Wallet address. And you can check your balance in your Oasis Wallet.
Step 3: Transfer $ROSE from Oasis Wallet address to Emerald Paratime
Now you need to transfer the tokens from your Oasis Wallet address to your Ethereum-compatible address on Emerald. Oasis has officially provided tutorials in both text and video.
Here is how to transfer your $ROSE to the Emerald EVM ParaTime in the Oasis Wallet. First, navigate to the “ParaTimes” tab. Under Emerald click on the “To ParaTime” button. Fill in the “Amount” of $ROSE that you want to transfer to Emerald ParaTime and your Ethereum-compatible address in the “To” field. Then, click “Next”, review and confirm the transaction.
Step 4: Verify your balance in MetaMask and connect with MMG
If everything went well, your $ROSE should be available in your Ethereum-compatible address on Emerald. You can verify your balance in MetaMask. First, install the MetaMask wallet extension in your favorite browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, etc.). Then go to MetaMirror Gallery and click “Connect Wallet”, which will guide you to automatically add and switch to the Emerald Mainnet in MetaMask. Then, import your Ethereum keypair and you should see your $ROSE balance transferred in the previous step.
Hint: You can also manually add the Emerald Mainnet in MetaMask by pointing your wallet at the Web3 gateway with parameters listed here.
