Where do you sow the seeds?
Once upon a time, there was a man who was looking for his life’s purpose. He found himself with a bucketful of seeds that he wanted to sow.
Everywhere he went he sowed the seeds but the results varied.
Sometimes the seeds fell on rocky ground. They couldn’t even take root.
Other times the roots started creeping down into the soil, but they weren’t deep enough, and when it rained, they were washed away.
Some seedlings grew very tall, but then strong winds ripped them out of the ground.
Very few seeds fell in the most fertile soil, where the roots grew deep, and the plant grew sturdy and strong, ready to stand up to the forces of nature.
What do you think the man did? Would he continue to sow his seed everywhere he went? Or did he develop a critical eye to look for the fertile soil that would nurture the seed and allow it to thrive?
