It was a long road to get there, but we did it — we crushed it on Product Hunt last week!

We would have been happy to just crack the top 10, but we ended up sitting at #2 all day long, which was nothing short of amazing! We just wanted to write a quick note about the success and to thank all of you that helped us get there.

The early results of the launch

Twitter engagement exploded on the day of launch!

It’s still a bit early to tell the overall effect of the launch, but here are some of the more interesting bits.

  • 760 upvotes so far! Your vote still counts so if you haven’t already do check us out over there
  • 1000+ new users 😻 many of whom have provided valuable feedback that is already being implemented to improve Meta
  • 80+ valuable comments on our Product Hunt listing
  • A listing on Thomas Chrétien’s ProductPages.xyz a popular directory of great product pages that has already sent us many new users
  • 2063.6%+ increase in engagement on Twitter for the day
  • 916.6% increase in unique visitors for the week

How did we crack Product Hunt?

We didn’t have much of a social presence, or a community of fans before we launched which is something I strongly view as a prerequisite for anything you’re thinking of promoting.

It still makes me sweaty just thinking about that, and yet we still managed to rock it. How’d we do it?

It all starts with having a great product, and I’m sure luck played a part as well, but we also did quite a bit in the preceding weeks to ensure that luck would be on our side when the big day arrived. That will be the subject of a future blog post — follow us here on Medium so you don’t miss it! 😈

We couldn’t have done it without you!
