Monday 11/21

Another quiet day in the marketplace as Thanksgiving week begins for those who celebrate. It was a mostly red day across the board with the exception of newly minted Cel Mates that brought in over 500E in transactions. OpenSea closed the day at $6.2 million in transactions with, BLUR checking in at $2 million, X2Y2 at $1.3 million and LooksRare just above $700,000. ETH took a deep tumble to the downside and is now hovering above the $1050 mark.

Tuesday 11/22

News was slow today as the hotly anticipated Valhalla mint dominated the headlines. Mekaverse made a comeback with its own game while RTFKT drew winners for its Footballverse Jersey NFTs. Valhalla (.7E, 2600 vol.) was the talk of the town with its buildup being nearly six months in the making. It provided most of the volume traded on secondary with Art Blocks (400E vol.) and McBess’ Crime Reports (500E vol.), accounting for the other big chunks of volume. To get a more holistic overview of the secondary market we will be examining all marketplace volumes. The major four marketplaces today posted a solid $13 million traded on the day. @everyone News:

  • Valhalla began their first of three mint phases today where allowlisted users were able to mint their allocation of two NFTs. Around 6800 NFTs were minted from the available supply. Floors quickly shot to 1.5E on secondary before beginning a slow bleed down to .68E before bouncing back up to and consolidating around .7E. Valhalla has traded around 2600E in volume across marketplaces with 3000 unique holders going into its final two mint phases tomorrow. https://blur.io/collection/valhalla

Wednesday 11/23

A lively day in the marketplace as todays big winner, Cel Mates, continued full steam ahead with floors spiking another 21% as the project saw a smattering of sales above 1E. Its counterpart, Valhalla, had another strong volume day with over 800E in transactions, but also scaled down 22% to a .58E floor.

Moonbirds continue to see recent sweeps and big sales with floors bouncing 15% to 7.7E. Chimpers had a strong day on the back of major partnership news and ended with a 23% gain and floors now at 1.35E. BAYC Gold Ape #232 also sold for 800E ($926k) in another welcomed marketplace whale buy.

ETH spent some time flirting with the $1200 range while, OpenSea closed the day with $6.4 million in volume, BLUR at $3.5 million and total marketplace spend clocking in around $14 million.

Notable Mints:

  • Invisible Friends launched their 3D collection after a brief delay at a .07E mint cost. All Invisible Friend and Clay Boy holders have 1 week to mint. The project saw some steamy action with floors ripping above 0.9E before settling into its current 0.77E range on over 230E in volume.

Thursday and Friday 11/24–11/25

Thursday and Friday saw celebration for those stateside as markets also took the cue to go on holiday with very little action or news. By far the biggest volume mover in the markets was Mutant Ape Yacht Club (11.7E) with 1600E in volume traded, undoubtedly on the news of BAYC’s announcement of the Jimmy the Monkey’s trial beginning on Christmas day. Secondary markets overall also saw fair volume despite the holidays with the two day total across major marketplaces totaling $25 million. ETH meanwhile experienced quite the rally sailing past $1200 and settling in at $1215 to end the day.

Weekend Recap 11/26–11/27

There was big volume across the Yuga ecosystem throughout the weekend with BAYC, MAYC and BAKC all seeing their most volume in over 6 months. BAYC (67E) also flipped CryptoPunks (65E) for the 7th time, steering welcomed excitement back into the marketplace.

Art Blocks Friendship Bracelets have jumped almost 70% over the past week and now sit at a .2E floor. Quirkies reclaimed a 1E floor and Acrocalypse saw a 47% jump to .2E as well. Pirate Nation also saw another jump as floor are now holding above 0.1E.

BLUR just barely led weekend marketplace volume with a $13.7 million close, while Opensea saw weekend finished at $13.5 million. Total marketplace transactions totaled $33.3 million over the two day stretch. ETH continues to range just under the $1200 mark.
