Monday, 3/14

A relatively quiet day in the marketplace as volume tapered off and closed at $52 million, about a 30% decline from yesterdays closing number. Not a whole lot of action to carry us through either as mints and reveals were light, with a few existing projects showing some life here and there.

BAYC (88E, 1230E vol), Dour Darcels (1.18E, 1049E vol) and MURI (.52E, 1000E vol) were the only projects to eclipse 1000E in daily volume on Opensea. Loser Club (.5E, +50%) also has seen a nice run over the past few days, while Doodles have seen their floors climb back to 13E.

Some top floor gainers on the day included CloneX (13E, +8%), Dippies (.38E, +15%), Degen Toonz (.65E, +25%), CyberKongz (7.2E, +8%) and My Pet Hooligan (1.29E, +20%).

A small pop in volume as we closed just under $80 million, which is the highest number we have seen since we went for $258 million back on March 2nd. Boosted volume was led by the announcement of $APE token which seemed to ignite activity in the marketplace as users looked to move things around to position themselves for the token drop.

BAYC (105E, 9742E vol), MAYC (24E, 7066E vol) and BAKC (8.19E, 3071E vol) all saw massive volume pour in throughout the day, as we would expect. Winners on the marketplace included MultiverseVM (.79E, +30%), mfers (3.08, +11%) and The Bibiz (.21E, +40%), while red encompassed much of everything else as people were dumping left and right to create for $APE liquidity.

Finally, some real life back in the marketplace as the $APE token had volume humming back at local highs, with a close of $132 million, which was the largest number we’ve seen since the end of February. Naturally, it was BAYC (90E, 14,000E vol), MAYC (17.5E, 6,500E vol) and BAKC (6.75E, 2200E vol) that reeled in gaudy volume numbers. As the day wore on, action began to seep back into some higher tier projects to begin some trickle-down gains as people take $APE profits.

Winners on the day include Azuki (12.45E, +27%), Doodles (13.1E, +12%), 3Landers (2.1E, +26%), RugGenesis (.51E, +51%) and SupDucks (1.29E, +29%), just to name a few.

Another strong volume day as we closed at $118 million, the 2nd day in a row we finished above $100 million which is the first time that’s happened in about a month. $APE profits have seemingly flowed back into the broader NFT marketplace as established projects continue to see the trickle down many of us were hoping for. Additionally, ETH prices continued to trend upwards as it looks to test $3000.

A late-night leak and news item from Yuga Labs also led to some Friday night action on a handful of projects as Cryptoadz (4.17E, +43%), Cool Cats (8.9E, +24%), Meebits (5.98E, +27%) and World of Women (10.77E, +20%) all saw immediate pumps after a leaked Yugaverse trailer included all projects. Naturally, BAYC (101E, +10%) and MAYC (22E, +24E) saw increased activity as well.

Weekend Recap, 3/19–3/20

A steady but mostly unspectacular weekend in terms of volume as we saw Saturday close at $114 million and Sunday at $89 million, which ended breaking a three day run above $100 million. Additionally, we are now on a three day downtrend in the volume department as some of the $APE hype fizzled as the weekend went along. ETH continues to churn in the $2800 range.

The ‘Blue Chips’ held floor prices well as BAYC (100E), MAYC (21.5E), CloneX (14.4E), Azuki (12.3E), Doodles (12.8E), World of Women (12E) and Cool Cats (7.76E) have all held their post-$APE gains relatively well, even with a slight Sunday bleed.

Other projects that saw solid gains this weekend was Tasty Bones (.8E, +23%), Crypto Chicks (.71E, +84%), RebelBots (.4E, +46%), CryptoSkulls (1.45E, 49%) and Pudgy Penguins (1.2E, +26%).
