Attach Interactive Content to TV broadcasts and Make Commercials Interactive

TV shows and commercials can now have additional content “attached” to them. A viewer can get access to this content by pointing their smartphone at the TV and scanning a QR code during a broadcast.

Scanning the code, brings up an “Interactive Experience” on their phone. Experiences can do lots of things:

  • AR Characters. Characters from a show can appear in viewers’ living room in augmented reality. These characters can be 3D Objects, animated, etc.
  • Virtual Reality. Experiences can instantly deliver 360 degree video content, to be viewed right on the phone, or with the phone inside of a VR viewer (like Google Cardboard).
  • Opinion. Experiences can let viewers cast a votes, offer opinions, comment on a situations etc.
  • Video. Play video sneak peaks of the next episode, behind the scenes footage, additional stories (Reality TV show skit that didn’t make it on the episode) etc.
  • UGC Photo/Video. Ask viewers to submit photos and videos, directly in the Experience. These photos can be automatically uploaded to the cloud, create browsable and shareable permalinks, etc.
  • Keep viewers watching. Experiences can act as a digital check-in, with various incentives for viewers (Leaderboards, chance to win, etc.)
  • Sweepstakes. Easy to create various types of contests as Experiences.
  • “Try It On.” Viewers can digitally try products on or place products in their home

It’s easy to create Interactive Experiences (non-techies can do it rapidly)

Metaverse Studio, our simple to use creation app, allows non-technical broadcaster staff to create interactive content (including AR and VR) that can be shared on TV using QR codes. These “Interactive Experiences” are built in Metaverse Studio (no coding required) and can be viewed in any app that embeds our SDK (iOS / Android).
