Monthly development update for Aug 2023

Despite August being a vacation month, development continues at a good pace.

Highlights include:

1. Alpha testing of Games Launcher
2. Completion of node sales strategy
3. Marketing partnership with Mhaya Games
4. Initiate integration of five of our games into the game launcher
5. Mandatory annual Google Playstore updates

Five Games Being Prepared for Launch

• Although we have a large archive of games, five games have been chosen to get ready for launch — Defi Gravity, Seeker, Watch Out, Shadow Syndicate and Operation Satoshi.
• These games are being updated to add in web3 components such as wallet connect, launcher integration and support for NFTs.
• The game loop and gameplay mechanics are also being updated to be sustainable for the long term.
• Every game will have at least 3 playable levels.
• Control gameplay parameters from an external admin portal.

Game Launcher Dapp

• Reintroduce support for social login to make easier for web2 players
• Integrate AWS S3 for storage of installation files for files over 4Gb
• Display global download progress panel
• Admin functionality to add/edit/delete games
• Addition of leader board for ecosystem points
• UI improvements

Google Playstore Updates

Mandatory annual updates completed for our games that are now completed and going through testing. These include…

• Google target API level set to 33
• Data safety policy updates
• Unity SDK updated to version 4.0.1

Game: Operation Satoshi

This is the first game that is being focussed on to iterate and improve. A new version of the game is being published every week into testing.

• Avatar selection screen
• Common backend for games
• Player interface updates
• Character spawning mechanics
• Game lore and story development
