XSEED Chain

XSeedChain is a new layer-1 protocol based on a delegated proof of stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism designed and innovated to offer substantive performance benefits for game developers including greater throughput and faster completion times, while saving attractive censorship-resistance characteristics.

As a game studio, we will naturally have a large number of games eventually creating millions of transactions. In order to provide the best possible player experience, it is essential that we minimise transaction fees, have the ability to increase TPS and scale up on demand. Having our own Layer 1 allows us to set the parameters that best suits our games and partners.

Layer 1 blockchain has distinct functionalities such as the ability to process and finalize transactions on its own chain. As the dedicated main network within our ecosystem, we can also define the underlying rules as well as react fast to any issues that come up. The chain is able to expand to accommodate many forms of secure peer-to-peer and microtransactions and currencies, DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, games, and more.

In future, MetaXSeed Games also have the flexibility to add in layer-2’s for larger gaming ecosystem that require it. These can utilise scaling solutions such as zero-knowledge rollup (zk-rollup) that moves computation and state off-chain into off-chain networks while storing transaction data on-chain on a MetaXSeed layer-1 network.

Validator Nodes

A blockchain validator node is a computer that performs the task of validating transactions and adding them to the blockchain. In a blockchain network, validator nodes play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of the ledger by verifying the validity of transactions and ensuring that only valid transactions are added to the blockchain.

Initially we will start with 4 Servers (Centos 8.0) for our testnet and scale up after mainnet. Community will be able to run a validator node and be rewarded with $XSEED emissions and ecosystem NFTs.

Our $XSEED token issuance process will follow a fixed, declining rate schedule. This standard approach creates supply certainty; lowers inflationary pressure over time; and sets the native XSEED token upon a clear, predetermined transition path to use-driven fundamentals at network maturity.

Validators

Two types of agents are involved in the network’s validation process:

• Operators
• Delegators

Operators are the agents who control and operate the hardware and software that performs the computational work for adding transactions to new blocks and voting on the inclusion of the next block. Each node has a single operator. Delegators are token-holders who are participating in the consensus process by delegating their stake to a node, thereby increasing the total amount of stake and voting power exercised by that node.

There is no limit on the number of delegators. Furthermore, individuals who act as operators, may also be delegators of other nodes at the same time.

EVM

EVM stands for Ethereum Virtual Machine. It is a virtual machine that runs on the Ethereum network and is responsible for executing smart contracts. At any given block in the chain, Ethereum has one and only one ‘canonical’ state, and the EVM is what defines the rules for computing a new valid state from block to block.
EVM based layer 1 has several advantages. It allows developers to build on the platform without needing to learn new toolsets and languages. It also ensures regular users can easily interact with the blockchain since it will support the most popular Web 3.0 wallet — MetaMask

Metamask Wallet

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that enables users to store $XSEED and other XSD-20 tokens. The wallet can also be used to interact with decentralized applications, or dapps. The decentralized internet, Web3, is built on a foundation of cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications (dapps).

Consensus Mechanism

Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) is a consensus mechanism used in blockchain technology. It is an improvement to the Proof of Stake (PoS) system, such that the nodes select agent nodes through voting to validate blocks. The number of agent nodes is fixed.
