The state of Meteoritic 1 month after launch
Meteoritic is a micro-interaction animation library for ios & Android apps. We launched Meteoritic’s Beta on 27/2/2019 on ProductHunt.
In the month that followed the launch, we monitored how our amazing early adaptors were using the platform and how so many of you came up with a lot of use case scenarios as well as gathering feedback as much as possible.
What we have done so far
Thanks to each and everyone who tried out, subscribed and joined the Beta, Meteoritic gained the attention of more than a 100 early adaptor so far.
Your testing for the platform is a key part for completing the validation for so many elements. As you might imagine, 10s of apps with hundreds or thousands of users each is a key to test out the performance as well as the validity of the idea.
We released the iOS library as well as improved the android animations framerate.
We published 2 new theme packs.

The beta leaves a lot to be desired but we promise you, lots of amazing things are coming.
Our plan through April to get out of the Beta is massive. Let’s get right to it.
Ground-up improvements
- Lots and we mean lots of bug fixes and stability improvements.
- More granular control over user account information.
Better framerate on Android
- Fixing slowdowns & framerate dips in the animation speed.
iOS apps search functionality
- Search for your app in the app store right from the dashboard.
Copy store link
- Copy/Paste your app link from the store to the dashboard to automatically get your unique ID
Custom animations
- Import user-generated animations and use them in your projects.
Playlist ID
- Instead of adding 1 animation with an ID, you can get a playlist ID and use multiple animations in rotation linked to the same user action
New themes
- More animations are coming your way. Our pipeline will include weekly updates.

As you may notice, our plan starts with building the foundations and polishing up the service rather than adding more and more features.
