Sumer Money is Live on Meter
Unlocking the DeFI lego
We are excited with the launch of Sumer Money on Meter Network! As a Cross-chain Synthetic Assets Money Market Protocol, Sumer enables creation of SuTokens (Synthetic Assets of USD, ETH and BTC) that are fungible across the network of all supported blockchains.
Arbitrum launch is next followed by Base over the next few weeks. Interoperability between Meter and Base/ Arbitrum will be supported by LayerZero whereas between Base and Arbitrum will be supported by Chainlink CCIP.

HotStuff 2.0 Consensus Upgrade

HotStuff Consensus 2.0 is now live on Meter Network! Say hello to even lower blocktimes (1.7 sec) and over 30% lower latency on transaction confirmations. Total Value Locked
The TVL on the Meter ecosystem is $6.1 million.
Staking and Node Operation
There are currently 336 nodes on the mainnet supporting 10% APY on staking with 50% of the circulating supply staked.
Blocks and Transactions
We are over 46.5 million blocks on the Meter mainnet with an average latency of 1.7 seconds. Total transactions stood around 18 million.
User Wallets
The user wallets continued to grow to 245,132 wallets.
HotStuff Consensus Upgrade
Meter is the first public blockchain to implement pipelined HotStuff2 for its consensus. This upgrade enables 30% lower latency on transaction confirmations on Meter (3–5 second confirmations through MetaMask) with more network stability over the long term. Post upgrade, we released bug fixes to address the high memory usage and stability issue faced by a few nodes.
Key focus of Meter Foundation in the month of December are;

- Deployment of Logarithmic Token Emission Curve in alignment to the governance proposal
