Food & Drink

The Silvester

Midtown Miami. Rush Hour, as they have labeled Happy Hour, attracts an interesting and good-looking crowd. The drinks are not bad, either, as the French would say for very good. However, what we enjoyed the most was the sense of nostalgia and authenticity the place exudes.

ABOUT SILVESTER

Photo, Aurea Veras.

Florida natives and owners of Beaker and Gray, Ben Potts and Brian Nasajon, created a concept that reflects who they are. Using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, they brought to Midtown Miami cutting-edge cocktails, culturally-influenced sounds, and nostalgic ambiance to pay homage to old and new Miami. The Sylvester is the ideal place you want to be stuck in a hurricane — drinks, dancing, music, and Abuela’s furniture. What’s more Miami than that?
