Those holding a popular opinion will eventually get what they want in one way or another. In essence, this is what a consensus mechanism is centered upon.

This concept depicts different situations, in different professions. If you were a rancher you might refer to the dirt paths in your field as cow lines. If you were a college campus landscaper you might also refer to the dirt paths on your campus, as cow lines but out of jest. If you are an app developer workarounds become part of the platform and are aptly named desire paths.

When instead we change our environment in order to accommodate users then what once was seen as straying from the path becomes the new norm.

So why does blockchain not have a term for cow lines?

Twitter #History

…were conceived via a desire path as a result of users using #SanDiegoFire in order to stay updated in the discussion of wildfires in 2007.

Twitlonger was created because of a desire path created by users using IOS notes app in order to compose longer tweets.

Twitter later paved this ‘cow line’ by increasing the character limit from 140 too 280.

“Doesn’t matter what you think, we’re gonna do it anyway” — Motley Crue in Saints of L.A

With the history lesson out of the way, we’re coining the term ‘Bull Line’ in coalition with PotCoin in order to reference the speed at which decentralized applications and currencies adapt by giving freedom to users and listening to consensus.

Pave the Bull Lines!

One of the underlying effects of tokenizing and creating micro-economies is that by giving users the freedom to lead they subsequently pave ‘bull lines’ within those industries…

Industries like…

PotCoin with Marijuana & MeVu with Sports Betting

In the past few years, we have seen significant legal developments in spaces such as cannabis and gambling. As of 2019, ten US states plus the District of Columbia have legalized the use of marijuana. In 2018, the federal government of the United States permitted all states to legalize sports betting. While the legal frameworks exist for these otherwise taboo subjects, the business infrastructure does not yet exist — partially due to the fact that many service providers (e.g. banks, payment processors) simply will not allow transactions in these categories.

Blockchain creates the ability to transcend resistance to taboo subjects such as marijuana and gambling. We saw a rudimentary version of P2P in the very first form of ecommerce as early as the 1970s, when students at Stanford and MIT were using ARPANET to trade marijuana. This historic bull path is in part what has led to PotCoin paving the path for trustless environments.

These trustless environments allow for freedom to roam by building on blockchain we help create workarounds for traditionally very stubborn problems. Some of the relatable issues within the marijuana and sports betting industries results in an overwhelming black market.

  • Abuse in fees
  • Stringent regulation
  • Institutional impediment
  • Centralized Authority
  • Transparency in Transactions

The conception of a black market is really a reflection of the desires of consumers and suppliers, or in the case of meVu bettors and market makers.

‘Bull Lines’ too Greener Pasteurs

PotCoin and MeVu share an ideal in how we can nurture the healthy growth of the aforementioned markets via tokenizing industries plagued by reputation and regulatory bodies all over the world.

In sports betting and in the marijuana industries, startups are constricted by the extremely expensive licensing fee’s associated with owning a sports book or a growery. These budding companies also face the judgment of institutions, in how they use their services even if transactions are legal, banks can lock up funds for months on end and kill a great idea in its infancy.

On meVu, a solution comes in the form of our white label API for existing sports books, or individuals to use for facilitating cryptocurrency betting on their websites or within their organization. Whereas PotCoin’s solution comes in the form of a vast network of like-minded individuals and through facilitating fair and fast transactions.

Bull lines are not an avenue to circumvent the regulators, but rather the paving of age-old desire paths towards multi-billion dollar markets for regulators, business, and users to coexist, create, and change. We are creating Blockchain as infrastructure.
