MEvU a peer-to-peer sports betting platform built on top of the Ethereum blockchain has released it’s public test-net just in time for Super Bowl LII. The platform also features a few games from other leagues such as the NHL, NBA, and UFC.

The development team lead by Tim McCulloch as well as CEO Kelvin Coelho have been working on the MEvU betting platform as a project for over 2 years. The platform includes plans for an eSports suite, Casino Style games, with the main focus being fostering competition between bettors.

This is an important aspect of the idea of peer-to-peer betting that is much different than your normal online sportsbook. While the DApp can host events they do not bankroll the odds which gives the opportunity for seasoned bettors to create their own hedging to attract users to take their lines.

With industry low fees the MEvU project not only is ample for third parties too get involved they can take advantage of the Oracle system that while not unique to MEvU, is best suited in the sports betting ecosystem.

In order to try out the public test net, one can visit dapp.mevu.bet on the Rinkeby Network utilizing test $ETH stored on Meta Mask to place bets and experience the platform first hand in its early stages.
