Guest: Bernard Lee, Chief Community Officer of MOVE Network

Host: Iris

Introduction

Iris: Today, we’re honored to have Bernard Lee, Chief Community Officer, to our community to give us a more intuitive introduction to their unique project.

Bernard, would you like to say hello and introduce yourself?

Bernard: Hello MEXC Community, I am Bernard Lee, Chief Community Officer of MOVE Network. It is our pleasure to join the AMA with MEXC.

Questions about the project

Q1

Iris: What is MOVE Network? Can you share with us more in detail?

Bernard: MOVE Network is a leading NFT aggregator that covers a wide spectrum of NFT products. We enable enterprises and start-ups to integrate blockchain technologies to enhance their existing businesses. Users can also utilize MOVE Network to own and trade NFTs from across a variety of sectors including entertainment, music, artwork, and esports.

MOVE Network is not simply an NFT marketplace. It is an Ecosystem.

Our model has two aspects — a creator focus and a user focus

On the creator side, we deliver NFT-as-a-Service, a consultancy and advisory model providing an end-to-end solution.

On the user side, we have created an NFT portal, which we have divided into 3 pillars:

Collect-to-Earn, Stake-to-Earn and Play-to-Earn

We have already launched our NFT Marketplace where you can buy, sell and trade NFTs.

Shortly, we will be launching our NFT Farms where you can deposit and stake NFTs to earn crypto.

Later, we will be launching our NFT Game Center, where you will be able to play games to earn crypto.

Together, we call this NFT Finance.

We will shortly be launching our MOVE NFT Portal App — on AppStore and Google Playstore. The MOVE Portal App will be the touchpoint for our community. Through the App, users will have access to all the MOVE products and features. We want to bring NFT mainstream — to allow the everyday person to access, and understand and enjoy what NFT metaverse has to offer.

Q2

Iris: What triggers you to launch MOVE Network? What are some of the real-world problems/ pain points that MOVE Network aims to solve?

Bernard: MOVE Network believes that blockchain is the future. However, to date, it has been difficult to see mass adoption of blockchain technology. MOVE Network strongly believes that NFT “as a technology” is a gamechanger.

Going back to NFT 101 — an NFT is a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a digital ledger. This is important as it lets you check ownership and provenance over a digital asset. NFTs can be used to represent easily-reproducible items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files as unique items. It’s like having a certificate of authenticity over that asset.

The reason it is powerful is because digital code is very difficult to protect. Using artwork as an example — which also happens to be where the major interest in NFTs is right now — there’s nothing stopping people from simply copying that piece of digital art. However, if that artwork is “registered” on the blockchain as an NFT, then it changes the game. You can immediately verify and authenticate that NFT Art. This gives it provenance. This gives it credibility and value.

Artwork is just the start. We are at the earliest days of a NFT blockchain-led revolution. MOVE Network wants to look beyond the current hype around NFTs to see what NFT 2.0 and even NFT 3.0 might look like.

NFT 3.0 looks at real world applications. It could provide answers to issues such as fair music royalties by implementing trustless smart contracts; or completely change content delivery through on/off-chain distribution; or fight counterfeiting by using NFT/NFC to provide digital certificates of authenticity for handbags and other luxury items.

In the last 24 months, everyone has been talking about “the metaverse” — this idea of multi-layered digitals worlds interacting with each other. Imagine the Matrix meets Read Player One and where the digital world converges into the physical world.

Q3

Iris: What are some of the challenges that MOVE Network currently faces? How do you aim to solve them?

Bernard: Education and knowledge. The biggest difficulty is simply explaining to people what an NFT is — and why NFTs are important.

The question we get time and again is:- why should I spend USD10,000 on this piece of NFT Art, when I could simply take a screenshot and “own it for free”?

We don’t find it constructive to get into that argument, but we would point out that simply taking a photo of the Mona Lisa on your phone doesn’t mean you own the Mona Lisa, and your photo is not worth the same as the original art.

We prefer to educate people of how we see NFT “as a technology” and building blocks. Yes, the market is crazy right now with NFTs selling for 100,000s and even millions, but that’s just a part of the wave. What’s really powerful is the new opportunities to INNOVATE and EMPOWER the community and to really start creating the building blocks for a new metaverse.

Q4

Iris: Are there any exciting news or updates with regards to MOVE Network that you would like to share with the users?

Bernard: MOVE Network is working with AVATAR (Avalanche Asia Star Fund) to deploy NFT, DeFi, GameFi and metaverse functions on the Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem. We see NFTs as the gateway to creating a multilayered metaverse. DeFi + NFT creates a new NFT-Fi industry. We aim to pioneer this trend and believe that Avalanche with one of the fastest smart contracts platforms in the blockchain industry will help us bring this mainstream.

MOVE Network recently announced its strategic partnership with Tribe Gaming.

Tribe Gaming is one of the world’s leading esports and content organisations. Tribe’s powerhouse of creators has garnered over 28 Million fans and 140+ Million monthly views on YouTube alone. Four out of five of Tribe’s mobile esports teams have qualified for the Gaming World Finals next month. We’re really excited to be working with Tribe and their millions of fans to make NFTs an integral part of the mobile esports ecosystem.”

Q5

Iris: If you were to summarize your project in ONE word, what would it be? Why?

Bernard: Aggregator!

The mission of MOVE Network is to be an NFT aggregator which empowers creators and their fans to seamlessly immerse themselves into the NFT Metaverse and to get the best out of the NFT-Fi Ecosystem.
