Guest: Bozena Rezab, CEO & Co-Founder; Jaime Pichardo, Head of Gamification
Host: Iris of MXC Exchange
Iris: Today, we’re honored to have Bozena Rezab, CEO & Co-Founder of GAMEE, and Jaime Pichardo, Head of Gamification at GMAEE, to our community to give us a more intuitive introduction to their unique project.
Bozena and Jaime! Would you like to say hello and introduce yourselves?
Bozena: My name is Bozena Rezab, I am co-founder and CEO of GAMEE. I am excited about building consumer tech and entertainment products, prior to GAMEE, I worked for Google on launching YouTube partnerships and monetization across European markets.
Jaime: My name is Jaime Pichardo, and I’m the Gamification Designer at GAMEE. A game enthusiast csince I can remember, I have always looked for ways to make every experience more fun and enjoyable. I have been involved in reaching new audiences with GAMEE for the past years and now I focus on bringing the play to earn model into our upcoming games.
Questions about the project
Iris: What is GAMEE? Can you share with us more in detail?
Bozena: GAMEE is an entertainment gaming platform that recognizes and rewards players effort, skill and loyalty. We have over 25M registered users globally, 50M gameplays are played on our platform every month. Our brand was selected among 100 Most Disruptive Brands by Marketing Week. Last year, we joined Animoca Brands family. We are now working on taking our free-to-play gaming experience to the next level, by introducing GAMEE Token as a means of purchase and reward on the platform.
Iris: What are GAMEE’s unique selling points as compared to other similar projects in the industry?
Jaime: The main advantage of GAMEE is that it is not a new project which needs to prove its utility. With millions of players already playing games on GAMEE, a very active network of players on Apple, Google and Telegram (perhaps the defacto social home of many in the crypto community) it has a clear advantage to many blockchain projects that have a great idea but no actual product. You can play GAMEE right now, and that’s a strong statement.
Iris: What are some of the challenges that GAMEE currently face? How do you aim to solve them?
Bozena: GAMEE team is strong in building high engagement among a mass player base. Now, we are looking to build a product that uses strengths of blockchain, while keeping high engagement among players. This requires a perfect UX, smart gaming engagement loops and a great use of technology. Making blockchain gaming accessible and appreciated by mass audience is a massive challenge and we feel ready and excited for it!
Iris: I believe the community is excited for it too!
Iris: Are there any exciting news or updates with regards to GAMEE that you would like to share with the users?
Jaime: Indeed there are! We are getting close to the introduction of GAMEE’s NFTs. These are game characters, that give their owner a reward bonus while playing GAMEE and work at the same time as game characters players can take from one game to another. We are very excited to introduce real ownership of digital game assets into our platform!
Iris: Wow NFTs! Looking forward to them🤩
Iris: If you were to summarize your project in 1 word, what would it be? Why?
That’s what GAMEE’s been from the beginning. Skill, fun, games, winning, losing, learning and improving. That’s what the GAMEE experience is all about, and at every stage you feel excitement.
Q1. What systems do you have to increase the token value of GAMEE for token holders like coin rebuying or coinburn and etc?
Bozena: The most important thing is to consistently deepen utility of the token. For now, we have put foundations of launching the token, next step is launching second gen of our gaming product and keep adding new games, where the token is used. Add upgrading and purchasing of game assets, NFTs with the token. This is topped by staking events and collaborations with other Animoca Brands projects. The key is to look for long-term value of the token, that is actively used within a large gaming ecosystem.
Q2. Where do you think Gamee will be after a year, 5 years and 10 years from now?
Jaime: Love the question! We have a strong foundation and we have plans for both medium and long term! In every step, we’ll keep adding utility to the token and our NFTs, and have gaming as the center of it. GAMEE Arc8 will bring skilled tournaments where players will be able to earn rewards, and the NFTs will be usable both in GAMEE Arc8 and a standalone title. This creates an ecosystem with the GAMEE Token as the fuel in the core, and the NFTs will have cross-usability between the products in the platform.
Q3. Can you give us 3 things you learned as a project about the crypto-game market ? Does this industry really have potential?
Bozena: Hello! We are coming from a free-to-play mobile gaming industry, where everything is about simple and smooth onboarding, otherwise you risk to lose the user forever, as there is so much more they can do, play. With blockchain, the onboarding of normal user to crypto is hard and probably the biggest challenge. We have learned that once people get into it, despite the high barrier, they are very engaged. This is awesome.
Q4. Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?
Jaime: Yes! There will be many decisions to be made, and the community will have a strong role in them. From deciding which games to release next or develop and how the prizes should be distributed in the tournaments. Running special events with themes will also make up for fun community decisions!
Q5. Nowadays Gamee’s biggest issues for dApps is onboarding. What solutions do you have to resolve this problem?
Jaime: We’ve always had a very casual audience, and we’ve focused on making the experience smooth and simple. All our games are easy to understand but hard to master, and that is what we intend to do with our platform. We’ll be able to onboard users into the blockchain gaming experience through our casual games and having a strong focus on an understandable UX & UI. You can take a look at our current games to see how the onboarding feels like at gamee.com
Q6. Why did you choose to develop token on the ERC-20 platform? What role does blockchain technology play in the Your network?
Bozena: We have decided with Ethereum because of the rich NFT ecosystem that it brings. We are aware of the high gas fees on the network and we are working on a solution for GAMEE, that will address this, in a concept we call Gamee Pay, where you will prepare your account with one transaction to be able to play multiple tournaments after without gas fee.
Q7. As we all know, marketing is essential for every project. What strategy do you plan to GAMEE to attract more users?
Jaime: We’ve been growing our audience for the past five years and amassed already more than 25M registered users, so user acquisition is a strong focus for GAMEE. We have a marketing team and lots of collaborations planned to spread awareness around the project and grow the community. We believe in the strength of the network effect by having a great product that incentivizes its usage through earning with gaming skills.
Q8. Why did you choose this gaming token for your Crypto world?
Bozena: We think gaming is a perfect industry for blockchain. Gamers are used to a concept of virtual currency, they understand digital assets and have been spending billions of dollars on skins, upgrades in games etc. Now with blockchain, there is additional value to this, where the game currency and game asset is really owned, can be traded or used across games. As I said, a perfect use case.
