Taj, would you like to say hello and introduce yourself?
Taj: Hi all!! I’m Taj Tarsha, Co-Founder of Smile Coin. Thanks so much for having me.
Let me share some details about our team. We’re built by a team of passionate and committed systems designers, engineers, cryptographers, solutions architects, and researchers.
Our project was founded by Nick Bucheleres and I. It was created to solve high fees, slow payment processing, and unfair domestic banking regulations in the gaming industry. As a result, we’re transforming the way businesses and users transact on gaming apps by developing next-generation blockchain technology for tomorrow’s gaming ecosystems.

Iris: What is Smile Coin? Can you share with us more in detail?
Taj: LFG! 💪
Smile Coin is a Web3 Project and dApp focused on powering the gaming industry.
We’re developing the first-ever DeFi Gaming Portfolio & Payment Infrastructure on Algorand.. Our project migrating over from Ethereum in July, and we are really picking up steam on the Algorand Network.
We’re backed by the Algorand Foundation and are launching our DAPP in less than 6-weeks!

Iris: What triggers you to launch Smile Coin? What are some of the real-world problems/ pain points that Smile Coin aims to solve?
Taj: So, i’m sure many people here have played Prediction Platforms, Daily Fantasy Sports, Online Betting Apps.. and also any blockchain game, really, that involves a transaction.
Iris: Yes, that’s true!
Taj: Nick and I have been designing & building web applications in the gaming industry for almost a decade. We both worked at companies like Apple, HQ Trivia, Amazon, Grin Gaming, and more.
We learned the hard way how hard it is to simply transact on gaming platforms.. especially if you don’t live have access to payment processors like PayPal or Stripe.
That’s why we created Smile Coin — to harness the power of the blockchain to enable a borderless gaming economy 🌎
We think everyone should have access to participate in any game, no matter what country they live in, how much money they make, what their credit score is, etc!
We’re here to bring SMILEs to the world one game at a time.

Iris: What are some of the challenges that Smile Coin currently faces? How do you aim to solve them?
Taj: Well, here are the biggest problems.. We look at this in two seperate Categories.
1. Problems Users Face

If you live in a country, for example, like Turkey, and want to play on a site like FanDuel or DraftKings… it’s impossible to deposit and use PayPal. And, even if you live in the U.S., there are many hurdles you have to jump through and extremely high costs to transact.
With Smile Coin, by using our single global gaming currency, you can seamllessly transact for fractions of a penny and access games within the Smile Coin Network without any hassle or dealing with eroneous legacy payment infrastructure.
2. This technology enables companies to harness the power of the blockchain as well
We also are creating the first-ever DeFi Gaming Portfolio, Nick has a background in machine learning from Apple, so we’re infusing AI to give users Tools & Tips on how to optimize their profits!

Iris: Are there any exciting news or updates with regards to Smile Coin that you would like to share with the users?
Taj: We just partnered with Yieldly to launch the first-ever ASA launchpad pool on Algorand!! 🎉🎉🎉
What this means: Users can stake YLDY to earn SMILE starting on October 1st. This is the best way for users to take full advantage of DeFi on ALGO before our App goes live in November.

Taj: WIN.
Everyone who uses our App is a winner. We’re excited to launch FREE TO PLAY games like Slots, Lottery and Keno.

Q1. What are your major goals to achieve in the next 3–4 years? And What are your plans to expand & gain more adoption?
Taj:
Great question! Our roadmap on Algorand includes launching our Application in Early November, Bridging our Global Gaming Currency in 2022 to other third-generation protocols like Cardano and Solana, and Scaling in 2023 to make our network even more decentralized. It also includes bringing on 20+ nnetwork gaming partners to integrate with our DAPP in Early 2020.
Q2. How does project increase the token’s value, liquidity and utility ? So that it can lead to an increase in token prices ? What is your plan to make your project stable and provide the highest return for investors in the long term ?
Taj:
Our token value increases by a network effect — the more Gaming Partners we onboard and integrate to our DeFi Gaming Portfolio and Use Cases of SMILE. So it’s a win / win for all!
