Some people love the iPhone. They may not even know why, but they do. And that’s okay! In the complexity of life, they don’t need to waste one second answering the question: Which phone shall I buy next?

But for the rest of us, choosing a phone can be either very exciting or stressful, depending on how we approach technology in general.

Anyone considering buying the S7 edge probably belongs to one of these two categories:

  1. You are an Android fanboy/girl. It would be a cold day in hell before you are seen publicly with an iPhone. You have the cash in your wallet but you want to shop around for “the best flagship phone” available in the market, without an Apple logo on it.
  2. You have no hatred or love for any platform in particular. Your phone buying decisions are not based on which laptop, streaming device or music app you use. You are about to shell out some serious money and would like to spend it on “the best phone for you”.

If this sounds somewhat familiar, let’s find out if the S7 edge really is for you.

Samsung has always tried hard to differentiate itself from the Android crowd with “unique innovation and features”. But for years, these were nothing more than gimmicks.

I never took a screenshot of my phone by swiping it with a palm or silenced an incoming call by placing my hand on the screen.

But with the S7 edge, Samsung is finally starting to introduce features that sets its phones apart from competitors. Some of these may not be exclusive to Samsung, but they make for a very admirable combination.

In my 3 months of using this phone as a power user, I am sharing those aspects of the Galaxy S7 Edge that distinguish this phone from all the other flagships currently in the market.

1) Camera

2) Display

3) Samsung pay

4) Fast charging and battery life

5) Build quality

Is it the right phone for you?
