Hackers, we miss you. We can’t stand the wait until the fall MHacks, so let’s have some fun during the Summer. Get hyped for MHacks Nano!
MHacks Nano is an online hackathon that we’ll be hosting starting on Monday, June 19th. Nano will be open for all students to participate. Work individually or in teams of up to four to impress your fellow Hackers.
You want to code a web app? Code a web app!
You want to paint a masterpiece? Paint a masterpiece!
You want to make a wooden catapult? Make a wooden catapult!
You’ll have five days to use any and all resources at your disposal to create something cool and showcase your skills! You’re welcome to start from scratch or continue from something that already exists — you have complete control!
Once the Hacking period is over, we’ll have 48 hours of community voting to determine the best Hacks. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 28th!
MHacks Nano Schedule (all times are listed in Eastern Time):
- Saturday, June 10th — Nano Website Launches | Check out details on MHacks Nano, create your MHacks account, and register to participate!
- Monday, June 19th, 9pm — Nano Begins | Any progress you make on your Hack from this point forwards is fair game for your MHacks Nano submission!
- Thursday, June 22nd, 9pm — Nano Submissions Open | You can start submitting your Hacks to the showcase!
- Saturday, June 24th, 9pm — Nano Submissions Close | Submissions can be edited until this deadline!
- Sunday, June 25th, 12am — Nano Voting Opens | Upvote the Hacks that impress you!
- Tuesday, June 27th, 12am — Nano Voting Closes | It’s over!
- Wednesday, June 28th, 2pm — Nano Winners Announced | Congrats to everyone who participated!
We’ll be launching the MHacks Nano website in the next few days, at which point you’ll be able to make an MHacks account. This new account will persist across MHacks events and give you access to some fun new tools we have in the works to make your MHacks experience better than ever. As always, stay tuned to mhacks.org as well as our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest updates!
