Panacea is all smiles after a successful spring presentation

At the end of the spring term team Panacea held a 90 minute presentation and Q&A session of our current re-design of the MedRespond platform to our clients and about 20 of our peers and professors. Check out our project website for a thorough look into our process and final product and design artifacts for the spring semester!

After a brief break in which our team rested and took some time to reflect on our project, we’re right back at it for the summer term (May — August), where we will be focusing on our capstone full time.

Focus Setting

With capstone as our primary focus, we will essentially be functioning as a five person start-up over the summer. As such, we wanted to make sure we did all we could to maximize our time together, support each other’s personal growth, as well as maintain the chemistry and team health we had forged in the spring.

Individual Goals

Before diving back in we took some time to reflect on our individual goals for the summer we came up with the following:

Overall our team is excited about staying active and continuing to strengthen our design skills in the summer

We also took the time to clarify our team goals, client goals, as well as the Cleveland Clinic’s end goals to make sure everyone was moving in the right direction.

Panacea Team Goals

  • Final presentation detailing our research and design process, as well as our final recommendations
  • High fidelity mock-up of our final design
  • Design spec for the liver transplant MedRespond program
  • User experience flow for the liver transplant MedRespond program

MedRespond Goals (our client)

  • Increased user engagement of the MedRespond platform
  • Increased user understanding and use of the conversational AI element

Cleveland Clinic Goals (our client’s client)

  • Reduce hospital stays
  • Reduce strain on resources used post- transplant (i.e less calls to the transplant coordinator post discharge, reduced readmission and emergency use)
  • Increase patient satisfaction scores
  • Make patients and providers feel more confident in their ability to take proactive preventative action

In order to achieve our team goals, as well as the goals of our various stakeholders, this summer semester at a high level will be focused on refining and validating our prototypes and design artifacts with ongoing evaluative and generative research.

Panacea is ready for the summer!

Tune in tomorrow for a look inside our first round of summer evaluative research at Cleveland Transplant House!
